While I think Banshee's was the correct item choice vs Malphite/Sona/Mao I think people already forgot how Snoopeh threw a no scope sapling to pop it right before the final fight like a boss. Also I was half asleep at 4am while watching the games but just realized that Hotshot sold his lategame(lol) hexdrinker for an atmas. n/c really

Also hilarious, Dyrus claims Reginals missed 60cs because their computers only had like 60 fps reddit investigators were quick to find that he streams with 60fps LoL
NA PLS
edit:btw Never going to pay 15$ premium for a mlg weekend again btw, several good games off stream, tons of lag and delay, still contemplating if I'll demand for a refund after this mess. With a 5$ monthly ipl subscription big lans like ipl5 are included and mlg wants 15 bucks for 3 days

The whole concept of cramming all your practice before an event rather than treating progaming as a regular full-year-round job is why NA teams suck. But they are treating it as a full-year-round job. Otherwise, why would they have a gaming house? Also, they put a halt on school or work for this, clearly it's more than just cramming the night before. They don't treat improving as a full time job. They stream as a full time job. Their problem is that they believe that solo queue plus lots of scrims before tournaments is appropriate practice. It isn't. Korean teams and Chinese teams are scrimming constantly between events not just a week or two before.
What's wrong with solo queue? Froggen uses it as practice, and he is pretty good. Good as in comparable to the best in the world.

The purpose of a job is ultimately to make money. If their net return from a smaller amount of tournament wins + stream revenue is greater than what they can get from more tournament wins then it's the right strategy for them.

That's fine, but it should also mean that people need to stop justifying them and making excuses.
They're not good because it's not the most financially practical option for them, simple as that. No need for any other excuses.

Guys, I really need to know, is there going to be like a rebroadcast and/or VoDs that one could watch for free?

They're still good, just not Korean level goodness.
Better than you, you might say.

By all rights, every member of the Charlotte Bobcats is better than me at basketball, but they're still an awful team compared to everyone else getting paid to play.
Perspective, please. Until they have some real results again, they deserve the criticism they're getting.

Bad is a relative term, was all I was getting at. I have no problems with the NA teams getting rolled, they're still living in mansions for the time being.

What does the one team per region mean for frost/blaze? Will it hurt asian practice enough to level the playing field? (was that the point??)
|
championship series will only happen in europe and NA so far, korea will keep running OGn so the azubu/Najin/Mvp teams dont have to drop their teams
|
lol @ every NA team complaining about not having who to scrim against. As if Korean teams were all the same level from the get-go. They don't seem to get the memo that you don't necessarily need a scrim partner that is better than you from the start to get better yourself. If TSM were to grind against Curse 5 hours every day you can bet they would build each other up eventually.

anyone know when the next matches are going to start?
edit: nvm, info is in op

Sometimes these tiers happen to be structured by region. Look at the US when it comes to soccer, we just don't have the talent to keep up with most of the European teams that take soccer much more seriously. Lack of practice plays a role, but there's also a lack of raw talent. Same thing with LoL. They have more time and a better sense for the game than we do. Still, the pro players are still pro for a reason because in NA they are better than most people.

You can see more than a handful of people who solo queue, stream, or even post here on these forums that are skilled enough to beat the pro players they beat rather consistently. However, going pro is a decision in and of itself, one that not every great player will make. Be it time, obligations, or just not wanting to deal with the pressure, the life isn't for everyone.
But yes, better than most people, but it's not always "pros are the most skilled in a region".
