Because it is generally composed of nerds with high intelligence but low social skills who get traumatized daily by jocks, cool kids, mean hot girls, asshole relatives and everyone in between. As a result they have developed an obsession with "manners", a principle that you should never insult or disrespect anyone, which unfortunately is both biased and unrealistic since some of us hold flaming in high regard as a particularly volatile and entertaining form of wit (god bless Black Adder).
On top of that, due to the politics of TL the site has a burgeoning gay community which appears to be highly involved when it comes to persecuting people like Destiny or anyone who uses foul language since they identify their trolling and slurs with the abuse they have been taking for their sexual orientation.

Dont forget that NA has a completely different playingstyle then EU and KR servers. You wont often see a 3-kill game by the 30 minute mark on those servers. The picks and bans are also slightly different cus of the different playingstyle.
On September 03 2012 14:47 WhiteDog wrote: Also, is it serious to put CLG.NA before CLG.EU ?
No. CLG.eu is just the better team. CLG.eu is actually beating the korean teams (and the top taiwan teams) on a regular basis. CLG.na cant even beat the 'lesser' teams with dominating play. Imo CLG.na comes after tsm/dig/m5/clgeu/sk and some (most) korean teams. They just arent a team.

I think Crs.NA, Dig and Clg.NA are all sooo close to each other that it's hard to judge who's the best between them.
|
I'd guess dig>clg.na>crs personally!

It doesn't hurt them because laning has decided most games

Its still kinda funny to see this. Scarra was very rude in his post match interview, and whole dignitas had been shit talking for the whole weekend, after his interview there were i think zero negative comments here. Reginald just makes one comment, that even hits head on, and people are talking how he hurts esports, and lol... People like personalities, for every fan dyrus lost with his emotes, he gained 10. And its like that in every game. Just think of SC2, HuK, Idra, MC, all hugely popular, all act cocky. And even if you don't like them, you will usually tune in to watch them lose.
Well, i've said it before. I like TSM for the same reason i liked HuK when i started SC2. They have a persona, they are huge noob favorites, and all cool hipster fans hate them. But its still funny to see. They even have one more thing in common, almost always when they win, its not their skill, its because the opponent was just playing shitty.
|
yeah not sure why people hate on reginald although he just made a light comment which was nowhere near his usual trashtalk level. Scarra was surprisingly bm and a very bad loser.
Gotta quote Crumbz pre match again: " Clg is a better Team than TSM, we gonna 2:0" straight face :D
I wonder if people will start to ban Morgana against Regi, as controversial his personality his, he was playing really solid g3 vs cruse and the grand finals, damn those bindings.

I wouldnt be suprised to see Scarra pull out Kat at some point during the finals but they had no reason to show there hand by doing it vs TSM.

I just realized that the first place of each qualifier gets through to the single elimination directly at the final. So the plays from Dig yesterday is more confusing than ever. It's almost like they didn't try to win, yet so much was on the line.

Most mids are chosen for their utility for initiation and the pure roamers aren't picked as often. Most teams have been trying to get more initiation from their shot callers from what I've noticed. So that may be something to consider.

How did they have no reason to show it vs TSM? The winner of the Regionals are garaunteed a top8 spot which is kinda huge tbh.

I wonder if people will start to ban Morgana against Regi, as controversial his personality his, he was playing really solid g3 vs cruse and the grand finals, damn those bindings. Yeah but they didn't win because of Regi. Mids get WAY too much credit for wins and blame for lose. Scarra played really well in both games and it didn't matter. What both M5 and TSM have in common is a very intelligent jungler. If other teams want to compete that's the talent they need to be looking for. Twitch mid players are less rare than intelligent supports/junglers.

Tsm is just the better team. Game 2 was a disappointment since I was rooting for dig. Especially scarra's game 2 with gragas was extremely bad. Barrels missing all the time, getting caught out of position a lot and getting insta-killed because of it. Also his minion kills were much much lower than anyone's. I mean the strategy and all was fine, but how much can it matter when you are 1-10.

THIS 100%! TheOddOne doesn't get enough credit AT ALL. He's a superb jungler, and TSM in general is a stronger team for it, completely shutting down skarner's jungling at Pax with their counterjungle Shyvana.

his game 1 shyvana counterjungling was superb, dont think IWDominate got a single of his wraithcamps except for the very first. Much better than Saints " I try to get more cs than my lanes and steal their farm" shyvana

I wish curse would have done better, I really was not wanting clg to move on... But great showing by TSM, they just proved they are the best NA team by far. However... Dignitas did not even look like they were trying, they are going to have to step up their game if they even want a chance of winning anything more for season 2.

The thing is he is pretty inconsistent imho. Even in the same series. He has games where he is the most brilliant player ever to set foot in the jungle, perfect counterganks, perfect counterjungling, every gank a kill, not a single missed creep spawn.
Then there are games where he doesn't really farm, sits in a brush for ages just to leave without doing anything, is always on the wrong side of the map and can't close kills.
Pretty much the same as Reginald, a very streaky player. If he has a good game he crushes everything, if he has a bad game he is dead weight.
Imho the reason for TSMs success is on one hand the botlane, which didn't fuck up all year except the lost game vs Curse. Even if they get behind in the lane, they are so solid that their power level just improves linear throughout the game where other botlaners are more incosistent. On top of that Chaox and Xpecial have by far the best positioning and control. Dyrus is also very consistent: He just farms. He doesn't play reckless, but is able to fuck the opponent up when he gets ahead. Also very good control and decent positioning.
This time, both Reginald and TOO were on top of their game - and TSM wiped the floor with everyone. Last time, TOO was average and Reginald a bit worse, thus they struggled a bit. But yeah in the end, every single one on TSM is on average the best player in NA for their position. Some are just a bit more inconsistend, but are making it up by the level of their highest play.
