[IEM] Season 6 Championship - Page 107
Forum Index > LoL Tournaments |
At any point of IEM Season 6 Championship, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Hannover but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament. Thanks. Neo, 06.03.2012

In the booth you have to pick your stuff, get out of the booth and you lose that high energetic moment and the interaction with the crowd. The best example would be violet's interaction with the BR crowd or when a BR LoL player won a match and threw himself to the crowd, in commemoration. But yeah, you have to watch some stuff you say, like dragon timings and etc, because the sound proofing isn't perfect. I myself was a little guilty by ranting about the teams when they were doing picks and bans and they heard me during selection, so that kinda affected their picks and bans. Please don't say they aren't professional. There are a LOT of things to think about and sometimes the budget/technology isn't enough. They really work their ass off to get the event on the level it is. they let people walk around them while they are playing. No budget / tech required there. Pretty distracting imo. Having people walk around them during games isnt professional. Im not sure how well (if at all) the players hear the casters but its pretty unacceptable in my mind too. Also i havent seen any soundproof headsets, many using razer carcharias (i have it myself) and ive seen no earplugs. So im guessing they are just "winging" it. Im not saying you need booths, but im sure more could have been done with very little if any expenses to improve player experience and to be honest, fairness during matches. I still think having plastic sheeting like the casters have to seperate the PC's in rows of X (im going to say 5 as both CS and LoL are 5v5.) from in front and the sides would have been a very good move. They will still be able to see / hear everything (both crowd and players.) but just, add that extra seperation you know? That with preventing people from walking around them ( i still cant get over this.. ) and maybe something more to prevent hearing casters/crowd during games (perhaps they do, but ive seen nothing.) and it would be all good imo.

Mercs and Wits and Irelia wrecks vlad in 1v1 super easily and can deny him from getting to the minions properly Which is how a competent Vlad would not play against an equally skilled Irelia. He would disengage rather than letting Irelia hit him with Hiten Style on for the full duration. Lvl 9 WotA Vlad just outsustains her until she is in kill range sooner or later. It's common sense. Irelia was ahead by 15-20 CS. Now Vlad has 10 CS more with Irelia having Merc + Null magic mantle. The lane momentum has begun to shift towards Vladimir's favour. Edit: And since Udyr didn't help TRM to get ahead in lane soon, I don't get why TSM would pick Irelia in this matchup.

Well when he disengages you could at least force him of some CS, and having the irelia ult and q makes it so vlad dosen't really have a way to deny her
