[IEM] Kiev Discussion - Page 44
Forum Index > LoL Tournaments |
At any point of IEM Kiev, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. (e.g. "Day 2: M5 hype was everything people expected") At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Kiev but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament. Thanks. Neo, 20.1.2012

COME TO BARON RIGHT NOW, LISTEN TO ME" - Hotshot when the enemy is all pushing mid and they are 2 down with 1 at bottom.

Wasn't it Boxer that came up with the fantasy build that wrecked Zerg for a short time. His mechanics were extremely bad after coming back from the military and not having as much practice time. Also, Walshy was considered the mastermind of Final Boss strats despite not having as much mechanical finesse as Ogre 2. He went into a deep slump and Final Boss eventually dropped him. A few months later, Walshy's new team beat Final Boss for MLG 2nd place. Despite Walshy being replaced with Neighbor, who at the time was considered hands down the most mechanically sound player in Halo 3, beating even Ogre 2.

TOO posted end game result screen http://imgur.com/EFzvo hmm looks like rainman carrying for once, 9-1 trynd vs a 1-7 panth top. surprised chaox's sivir didnt have a better score, seems like WL won bot lane. but looks like a pretty easy victory for TSM with Regi also dominating (RIDICULOUS cs from Regi today, holy shit) and oddone's GP looking solid with 13 assists.

Otherwise chaox/xpecial and odd one are pretty solid and will do what they do not overplay or underplay. This is why they are a solid team, they don't have to many random factors they have to bank off of. Also in the defence of rain man; In general rain man is a great tourney presence (see mlg providence between his solo top play) but his solo queue can be pretty trashy.

I mean, WTF was that GP build. It was terrible 6 ways to Sunday.

That's one of the main things I like about TSM - the consistency of their teamwork. And I believe they're one of the team with the most stable lineup. A lot of teams have had players come and go while TSM is just Rain Man, TOO, Regi, Chaox, and Xpecial. I think the last time they had a change in their lineup was Westrice and that was part way through season 1.
