Assuming CLG will get to the finals, they'll most likely pick jungle Nocturne vs TF. They should also pick a strong laner to take advantage of TF's weak early game. WE plays a very mobility based style.

TF's teleport is just wonderful for ganks, and his late game poke seems crazy.

Another really fun game. It's been a good day.
It is what you read when you don't have to that determines what you will be when you can't help it.

Because FOTM declares that the second a hero is slightly nerfed you must instantly go find another hero.

Really, people are idiots. And WE is proving that 100%

K go play AP TF and dominate games. It's not as easy as it looks here.

I'm not talking about low ELO, I never saw him do well at low elo. It was people like Jji that did well with him

FYI Elementz says that TF is still strong. I can totally see CLG counterpicking TF against these guys, just to mess with them.

AP TF doesn't work well anymore at high elo either because as was mentioned he requires so much co-ordination now, you can't just sit in lane and gank as soon as the opportunity arises now, you have to be planning it ahead of time, and you can no longer backdoor with impunity because of the range on ulti no longer allowing you to get into the teamfight instantly.

One of two things will happen in the finals. The western teams will be taken off guard by this aggressive over-extend always style. Or the western teams will just play smart and win easy.

And AP TF won't see a come back. People like jiji and Reginald who are really fucking good at AP TF don't stop playing him just because FOTM demands it. He was already not that spectacular and his only saving grace was being able to teleport anywhere on the map.

Agree on all points.

jiji/regi will just play cass/ori/grag to get the same poke power as tf. This is exactly why it was a good idea for CLG to throw away their game against WE - so they now know exactly what's coming and have a strategy to counter it.

It's already been confirmed that CLG did NOT throw their game against WE. Stop with the misinformation.

With AP TF you trade burst and sustain damage for really good poke and global ult big leap. His stun is nice too but it's single target...

He can't burst people down as quickly as other APs. He can't 1v1 very well. He doesn't do sustain like Vlad or Cass.

He's not terrible or anything but there are just better APs to pick and I don't think these games will see a resurgence of him. If anything these games will be a reminder of why you don't over-extend in lane.

yeah. the team WE had really punished overextending with noc. and tf and galio tele

though i must say. i've been really impressed with the asian team's tele ganks. early on. though i think they waste the teles later on in the game though :\

Their ganks are really fucking strong and scary. All the foreign teams have to do is not play retarded in lane though and they'll be ok.

I'm not saying that AP TF isn't the OP bullshit he was. I'm saying he's viable on a poke comp. He's viable on a team with multiple TPs. I'm saying that Jiji is the best TF player in the world and if they get the chance, I can see him picking TF.

Though, to be honest, it seems to me that these days its Chauster and Hotshot that are carrying CLG, Jiji is just doing his job and being a solid AP player.

edit: Also, I'm 100% certain that Chauster is gonna play Urgot/Caitlyn this entire tourenment. Counter ganks with absurd early game. What do?

Being good in solo Q and being good in competitive play are two totally different things all together.

Like ashe is a shit pick in solo Q majority if not all the time, but is still a great pick in team games. TF still works in competitive play as well.

EDIT - im kinda sleepy so not sure if this is what you were talking about. If you were JUST talking about solo Q then nvm

I think the reason TF isnt picked up that much anymore is simply due to so many great AP champions that came afterwards, tf became to much of a risk for the award he offers. With agressive playstyle like chinese yet it makes sense to pick him, but with european/american "safe" playstyle, hes just too risky.

CLG wins 2-0 or 2-1. They miiiight lose the first game to some over-aggressive shennanigans and then try to get back in by making plays, only to fail at doing so. If they do lose the first game, they'll just settle down and play smart and cruise for 2 easy victories.

lol edit: I just realized picking 2-0 or 2-1 in a best of 3 sounds pretty stupid since I just picked half of the options. I'd lean on 2-0 being the most likely.
