Next up (after Counter-Strike) is Group B.
Just because they all know the rule doesn't make it a good rule. Should be decided by like most total gold earned or smth.
This basically gimps all team comps that rely on getting to lategame.
So then if IG just surrendered in the beginning of the last game they would have gotten 2nd place ? does that seem more fair?
Honestly, you can't change the rules at this stage. It wouldn't be fair to anyone.
And it's silly to argue about what tiebreakers would be better than game time, because for any future events, using double elim group stages instead of round robin is better than any arbitrary tiebreaker statistics you could come up with (other than actually playing out the tiebreak games, which isn't feasible).

I don't think anybody is asking them to change the rules right this second, and it's not the rules that are the problem, sadly in most MOBA's, if your not running Bo3's, than the second tiebreak has to be time because there is really not much better. Maybe Deaths? Gold Earned per game? Who knows.
Double Elimination brackets are not really a great indicator of statistics though, unless you mean like keep 4 player groups and have A vs B and C vs D, winner of round 1 faces loser, win 2 in a row and your through while the 0-1 teams face eachother to see who is eliminated and so on GSL style. Bo3 Groups would help eliminate a ton of these silly ties, BUT would be horrible for time constraints. And IEM is held to very specific time constraints seeing as how their events are almost always associated with a tightly ran trade-show.

There's this newspost saying that Taburiss got picked up by EHOME, and it seems to make sense given Taburiss' choice of junglers, and the fact that EHOME Max, EHOME PDD, and Taburisswu have similar records in arranged 5s.
Does own3d.tv come through really quiet for anyone else. The volume slide bar has always been really buggy I know, but I always max it and it always seems too quiet still. I have this trouble with all own3d streams not just the IEM ones and was wondering if anyone has this problem or a solution to it, short of lowering the volume on everything else on my computer so I can blast my headset.
i think if LoL holds on as an esport after dota 2 release (highly doubtful looking at the horribly slow developement of spectator mode...) chinese teams will take over...
