Any tips for taking on teemo as jax? because it felt like the only thing I could do was pray for jungle ganks (which never came, or came around 6, stepped on two shrooms and fed him another kill). No dorans, no bonus HP... what are your masteries? Aren't you squishy as fuck like this? more than trinity jax, but jax is pretty tanky as is. I do go for 9/21 masteries tho. the CC reduction is pretty valuable. I'm thinking I might try what these guys suggested and go iceborne into gunblade, add some tankyness and THEN get the hydra, rather than rushing it out. It becomes more important later when you have to fast push a lot (and you can actually stand in the middle of a teamfight for a few seconds and whack people). | ||

What are people getting for starting laning items on Jax? I've been doing cloth + 5hp (plus biscuit) more often than not. If I was smart, I'd probably get flask more often. I still get a dorans blade before launching into phage. As for jungling, I've been doing machete + 5hp => spirit stone before getting boots and phage. Jax just feels so strong in jungle now. Once you get spirit stone, you don't need blue buff anymore to jungle and can become a gank machine with nearly infinite sustain from the hp and mana regen on the spirit stone and liberal use of counterstrike. | ||

dorans boots into tf/ga might still be the build though. Just tried cleaver, didnt like it. More dmg than tf sure, but the missing slow and ms boost make 1v1 much harder. Also, am I the only one who thinks that the new warmogs sucks?  | ||

Accept being zoned and sad at your tower for the first few levels. Maybe start flask + pots because Teemo has very little burst until he has a ton of AP and a lot of ranks into Q (relying on like Q + Liandry's or something). If you can't kill teemo in ~2 secs, he will kite you and kill you, so items like Sheen and Cutlass are really good. So is Mercs to reduce blind. If he's going AD then probably Dblades/Sheen but AD is actually really strong because Blade of the Ruined king is much stronger on teemo imo than Liandry's. If he's going AP, then you can actually just get 2 procs of ult up, jump on him with E and W and kill him. | ||

However, the passive on it is phenomenal. It gives you basically the same stats of current Gunblade, at a fraction of the cost. When you get low enough for the passive to proc, you should be at max passive stacks and max rageblade stacks so you attack hilariously fast and can basically stay at ~25% HP for far too long. It does make me really miss old Gunblade though. 20% lifesteal 25% spellvamp mangg Also with a Rageblade build, you definitely want to prioritze resists, as the item is basically free HP. Rageblade + Frozen Fist seems like a good theorycraft core to replace the AS/Sheen/Slow you'd get from old Trinity core, and the itemization might not be too awkward (although combine costs kind of suck and Pickaxe/Blasting Wand make poor laning items). Maw for MR for more low HP synergy? | ||

Also, i found that ravenous hydra is the most lulzy item for him at the moment!. jungle clear times are like 5 seconds or somthn. | ||

Also played vs a Jax once, and he got 2 kills early, but then critical ward mass kicked in and he still fell behind our jungler. His kit just doesn't give as much without gold: his ult is outrageous for free resists conditional on having offensive items, compared to say Amumu who has 2 CCs, build in % HP damage, MR shred, and flat damage reduction. Finally, I don't think rageblade can be considered core on Jax. There's only been a few lanes where I got away with it (vs Fiora lol). In most of the other common top matchups now, the buildup is too awkward and you just get wrecked in lane. Then its hard to pick up as a 2nd item since you really want GA/Randuins. I'll keep trying Phage/Rageblade but I'm pretty sure unless you get crazy fed the resists just come way too late and you can't do your job as a Jax should in the midgame fights for towers and dragon control | ||
