Just give it cloaking and flying upgrades, like the original designers intended, not this nerfed giraffe we have to work with today. It doesn't even do bonus damage vs biological.

Add those, and the Colossus will reveal its true form.

I really like this idea, if the beams had similar movement outwards as the lurker whilst maintaining the old damage or more that means they can be microed against when in low numbers and at higher numbers as the OP mentioned the opponent just goes for the air counter play.

I wish they just said right we're going to introduce unit caps, so like a maximum of 3 collosi can be made or something like that.
I will make Yogg Saron priest work...

Starbow never had Colossus


Actually, that's not correct. While Kabel may have tried to remove the evidence, the Collosus was in the first iteration of the game (and Dragoons had blink too).

Yeah, and they are still some things about it in the mod files. However, the changes didn't really succeed as nerfing much Colossus AoE (even with reduced cost) removed its functionality and keeping them maintained the problem. And as the Reaver was added back from BroodWar, the AoE effect/cost and fucntionality of the Reaver easily made the Colossus obsolete most of the times.

Well, there are a lot of "A-move units" in the game. I don't think that is the problem.

I disagree. A-moving units that do guaranteed splash dmg and enforce only the opponent to micro are a problem.


The Ultralisk isn't a problem. Nor are Archons.

Again, an A-moving unit that deals splash damage isn't the problem. And if you consider the Colossus an A-move unit then at least the counters to Colossus, Vikings and Corrupters, are A-move too.

Not every unit should require tons of micro.

lol.. you move your collosus back when being focus fired or vipers are nearing, you get it out of isolation and always guarded. Having splash with 9 range but can be attacked by ground and air, slow moving , can't fight alone and a key unit in an army iare already good cons.
