What I don't understand is why Blizzard makes Terran bio shit against zerg's late game. Maybe it's time to buff ghosts' snipes again? That or tanks should be much stronger.

To be fair, the war hound didn't have splash either.

I'd like to see how it works in real games but my guess is that it's going to be very strong, it's very well rounded, as I think was the design intent but the lock on ability seem like a better fit for a unit that's more of a glass canon.

It seems to have some decent counters on the Z and maybe even P side the way it interacts with mobility but often the best thing to do when it locks on is to run away and the cooldown doesn't give enough time to capitalize on that. For TvT it just seems to kill anything that isn't a battlecruiser supply for supply, seeing it lock onto a tank then run out of siege range pelting it down despite svc's repairing the tank is a little depressing.

personally I see no way for protoss to deal with cyclone rushes early on, maybe adept will help? zerg can deal pretty easy if they get ling speed, its had to do without though...ill be interested to see how people will use cyclones in the mid and late game if at all

They put a big focus on making mech TvP work in HOTS - and then just kinda abandoned it when removing the warhound. I was kinda sad about that because PvT vs bio is my least favorite of the 9 matchups - i never managed to get rid of the feeling of either being a god or being helpless

Yes. Otherwise, they'd have given protoss some ground unit to counter mutalisks. Stalkers and sentries don't really work vs large number of mutalisks. Storm doesn't work vs a zerg who knows what to do. Phoenixes is the only way.

To me they didn't focus on making mech viable. They focused on making mech more like bio. The warhound was like a beefed up, mechanical marauder on steroids that played nothing like a mech unit.
