Note: This is not a beta key, it is simply access to Vs. AI and a Unit Tester. I have no idea how cool with this Blizzard is or is not, use at your own risk.

Fast movement speed, good anti-air and it also has long range and high damage. The cyclone is everything strong about brood war mech (the exception being the map control vultures and spider mines provided), with none of its weaknesses. It might be a perfect unit. Its only drawback is its cost, with isn't high enough to make them unmassable.
I don't think it should be good at all of those things.
So basically it's another version of the warhound. A massable unit designed to be good at everything with no real weakness, which was scrapped because, it's a massable unit designed to be good at everything with no real weakness.
It doesn't have aoe and is pretty expensive. Warhound problem is that it could deal with everything early game too well and makes it snowball too hard. I don't see this happening with cyclone at all
The warhound didn't have splash and pure warhound beat literally every unit composition on the ground, while killing you in 2 seconds if you were foolish enough to build air due to sheer strength and speed. It wasn't a problem of they kill stuff early game, it was just the best unit to build at all points in the game was warhounds. If you were getting rushed, warhounds. If you wanted to take a third base? Warhounds. Wanna go max supply? Warhounds. Lost a fight? Not enough warhounds.
I've not watched this video again but if memory serves, i shouldn't have to (:
Yes my point is that it's not like a siege tank because it doesn't "hold grounds" like a siege tank does.
Your point about warhound is more or less similar to mine, though I still think it's too strong in early game only.
Its like a reaper except it can apply way higher early game pressure and doesn't get weaker in any stage of the game.
If it was more of a siege tank (only becomes more viable in mid game and later on), I think it can be balanced with a few more patches.

Maybe your internet is slow? It doesn't show download status until you download the beta client.
Oh so it's downloading BEFORE you can click start install? I thought the start install button would start the download.
My internet is beastly, but not so beastly as to be done in the short time I waited before concluding it was stuck

The korean internet I wish I could experience at home one day ...
Interesting video. Adept good unit against light unit confirmed, marauders didn't want to die against them. Will be awesome to see the types of micro that people use with them.

Bonus damage vs light, which would include Sentries and Hellions.
It's interesting to see pure Adept armies tested, but it's more reasonable that they'll just be mixed in with other Gateway units for the extra bit of DPS against light units. It wouldn't be too unlikely that they'll get buffed or reworked somehow during the beta.

From what I tested it seems they're incredibly good vs early game 1 factory builds.
So for example, in the current meta it is incredibly common to have 1 medivac, a few mines, ~8 marines. If you expo as protoss and make adepts you'd be perfectly fine vs this type of push. Currently, with stalkers, you have a bit of trouble when you have to split to defend vs marines and mines. However, a couple adepts, which are cheaper, could handle all of these light unit, early game pushes incredibly effectively.
Now that said, it is also very common to see a 2 medivac mixed bio push at ~10minutes in PvT. Generally there is marauders mixed in there and from the video you can see when adepts finally get down to those guys their effectiveness decreases significantly. This essentially means that you can't mass just adepts. That doesn't mean they don't have an effective place in the late game army, though. In fact, I see them being mixed in as a potentially great thing to late game protoss armies. Zealots > Adepts > Stalkers > Colo It adds quite a varied range of units with different attack distances.
