I have a feeling that pro teams might find a way to exploit Bard's kit in an organised team setting, but in solo Q the hero looks like a pile of hot garbage to me, even if you want to just roam 24/7 after level 2 Annie, Blitz and Thresh all dumpster him in gank potential
Like I know Riot says a lot of things but one thing that they have followed thru on is their hatred for heals, They say they hate heals, they've nerfed the shit out of heals time and time again. When I read the description of his W all I could think to myself is, they've intentionally made this spell suck dick because it's a heal.
idk I really don't like him.

The patch notes said 60+5 per level, but that's not what it's doing, it's 100+15% AP like it was on PBE.
The AOE has a pretty decent range, prioritizes champions, but other than that appears to be random. Doesn't seem to prioritize minions it will kill over minions it won't.
It procs on Lux passive, which I <3.
Seems pretty strong, although it's probably not for everybody. Does it matter that it procs on her passive? Generally you'll be hitting the proc with the spells anyways.

Yea it is fucking retarded how weak the heal is.Just comparing to nami's w(even gonna ignore that it jumps) it heals for 5 more after it fully stacks and the ability costs 30 mana more...

Bard is nothing special to be honest, he's fun but I won't play him anymore imo.

Bard looks fun and his Portal and Ult are nice designs but he's just fucking weak, but maybe that's just the pessimist in me watching these first time bards and starting ancient coin (cringe)

So Viridian Kayle recolor looks like something I did when I was 13 in the WC3 map editor to make "custom" units: lol

1.5-2 weeks and we will see the true strengths of Bard.

But does her passive proc stack towards the items 100 active ability? Because if true Lux could potentially charge that item for two procs in a single spell rotation. #Broken

first 3 posts about Kalista in her the GD of her release refer to her as Broken. (first 2 posts being on page 1 and page 7)
The ONLY time Kalista was considered bad by TL was when her passive was bugged and attack speed items caused you to get stuck in place.

who thought the champion with a 1 second cd flash would be weak
people who don't play any melee champions at all maybe

I think a Bard in the right hands could do very interesting plays. The Q alone makes tower dives a big nono, and I was surprised how long the range was.

I think he has potential in organised play, but he is pretty much Veigar tier for solo Q

Tempted to get bard just to try him out, what seems to be the main issue? is he lacking damage potential in ganks? or what?
|
tbh I think Bard's allies just need to learn when and how to utilize his portal, sort of like Thresh on his release; just less overtuned.

I just played against a Bard. That magical journey ability is so annoying. I'm not sure how the mechanic works. Do I just have to just be standing in the hitbox when the portal is made? Or do I have to click on the ground in front of the wall to teleport? I def went on some magical journeys I wasn't planning on.

I think Bard's ult could do a lot. Promos mostly showed fancy stuff like tricks with the dragon. In practice though if you can drop it to catch 2 of the enemy team and none of your team then everyone else can just jump in and get a few moments of 5v3 action. That should be enough to swing a lot of fights. Still theory for me though. time will tell. If he is losing like crazy in week two he will get buffed until he isn't losing. He's got to be strong enough to sell afterall

low damage output combined with unreliable stun do not make up for occasional free experence.
in a level 2 gank:
bard has, skillshot based cc with moderate damage + 1-3 enhanced auto attacks
Annie has, 2 damage spells combining for double damage of Bard (one is -5 at rank 1 the other is +5) as well as a point and click stun if you prep ( I don't know why you would gank w/o stun ready)
Blitz has 2 damage spells both with attached cc, one is unreliable but can be hit confirmed with the other.
Thresh, 2 damage spells, with attacked cc, similar to blitz you can hit confirm Q if you are willing to expend flash, AND enhanced auto attack nuke to boot.
you could probly even argue Janna here.
