Pretty much in teamfights, you save up all your energy to taunt, and if you're lucky you get like 1 W-shield in. Which is worth jackshit. | ||

not that Q is HOLY SHIT HERE IT COMES EXCITING! but in teamfights he is't really energy constrained unless you miss if you want to make the argument that shen has a boring kit, I think you'd be pretty justified, but it isn't over UNINTENDED (missing E was nerfed to be this way purposefully) energy problems when they nerfed his Taunt to reduce auto attack damage only they fucked him, he can't win trades in a LOT of matchups unless already ahead after that, and that reduced his value, since you need to outduel to be effective in split push. | ||

Volibear has had one of the slowest clear speeds ever since he was introduced but now that the jungle camps have more life and gromp is a single monster camp, he's probably not as slow compared to other junglers as he used to be. I think he probably gained about as much as Shen from cinderhulk: a lot. | ||

I mean obviously he's not overpowered, but if you know how to play him and don't just abandon your ad at level 2 there are very few people who know how to play against him at this point. I think the low winrate is because people are roaming too much for chimes and overstating their importance early, or picking him with Vayne or into something like Caitlyn. He is so incredibly matchup dependent though. In my experience he does well against Janna lanes, decent against Lulu, decent against Thresh, kinda rough against Blitz. I mean I'm only plat but I think he's far from useless. He's up from 34 to 38% in three days in Master, 30% to 37% in Plat and Diamond. Once his kit gets figured out a bit more I think it'll keep climbing, especially with PBE buffs. | ||
