from what I can tell in this custom is, the tic timer is uneffected by subsequent autos other than extending it by 2 seconds, meanwhile you get a "bonus" on hit of half of the tooltip damage on every auto. idk as far as I can tell thats what is happening, I've definately gotten 50 magic damage(at rank 3 where it should be 25 per tic) on one auto @1.18 (meaning the later autos aren't effecting the timer) and thus the tic will be unsync'd with your auto as you go over 1.0 | ||

- half the damage on-hit, the other half one second later. If you go from 0.99 to 1.01 AS, you basically halve your dps. Now: - half the damage on-hit, applies or reset the debuff. Every second after initial application, the debuff damages for the other half. | ||

I'll have to try E max, but I dislike it because you're significantly less tanky in fights than with W max, and you spend a metric fuckton more mana to clear or to make up for it in E damage. I also dislike E because of how unreliable it is. Well, Nautilus is unreliable in general (shit MS/AS so autoing with W not always possible, you can literally walk out of his passive, Q hitbox doesn't match the tip of the anchor at long ranges, E has long cast time, low projectile speed, and immobilises you, R is unreliable by nature to make up for point'n'click basically), but to me E is basically his less satisfying ability and it whiffs so often/easily. So even if it clears faster than W max I'll feel worse off. | ||

More often than not, E does absolutely nothing because it's trivial to accidentally walk out of, or only get hit by once, and essentially impossible to get hit by it completely. Halving the cooldown effectively doubles how frequently you can do absolutely nothing. If you can make it do something at all, then probably. If you find you're not actually hitting people with it, then probably not. | ||

Iirc it's just to stop her from E maxing. Some people think that "better nerf Irelia" has kept her safe from nerfs for a few years. I know every time her nerfs went on PBE they'd be removed before they hit live in the past. If Riot cares that much about pissing people off with unwarranted nerfs, then maybe that's the case. And so they're just trying to see if a small nerf will cause the community to rage before pushing through actual nerfs. | ||

I did a couple clears and was getting identical times for level 6 with W max and E max, so I think W prob still better? E is more damage, but less mana efficient so you can't use Q at all in the jungle, it seems if you max W you can use some Q's in the jungle which makes up for it. | ||
