I like him already just because of the voice actor
I don't think the voice fits him its too... generic. most LoL voices at least try to be non generic sions is too typical. nothing against the voice actor, because its not like he can change what they were asking from him or the writing
but uhh yeah. Olaf is interesting. He's like THE character that would want swiftness boots and alacrity, but the boots just don't help him when he needs it apart from the speed. the soft cap is too close to the standard values ever since they made the change to up everyones base speed and weaken t1 boots.why they didn't raise the soft cap with that is beyond me. raising that soft cap would make ghost and a lot of melee bit stronger. as well as removing some of the movespeed off of PD/Shiv.
I main GP and yeah the new ulti is gonna be better in almost every way except for those rare luck kills, but the new sound and animation is just so boring. Instead of an actual random cannon BARRAGE you get seven synchronous hits, which is way less fun.
I actually don't understand why they felt they had to change the animation. At all.
Yeah, the voice isn't too particular, and I get the "hunger" theme between movement and attack quotes, but I think movement doesn't enphasise the difference enough. Plus the whole trailing but aggressive voice doesn't fit him that well I think. Feels generic dude threatening you. It's also super close to Renekton's in tone.
His quotes for E are meh too, ironically when he's supposed to "roar" they're less noisy and impactful than his standard quotes. On the other hand ult quotes are cool, although again, too "quiet" in comparison to the rest even though it's him yelling on top of his lungs.
Damn, sorta sad they're thinking about changing akali's shroud. I liked building warmogs on her as a single defensive item since she got so much free resist from shroud.

Yeah, Voyboy scared them with a doublekill. Right. It had absolutely nothing to do with him being 1st pick/ban in tournaments for literally months.
Well that was only when Warmogs was OP. They gutted him when it was more a case of the itemization being too strong and now he's never been seen since.
I mean he was objectively too strong as well (Hat tip Gahlo, I didnt say he didn't need nerfs). The problem I was addressing is they decided that the very concept that he became a hard to kill, reliable, diver was untenable.
To make a modern-day analogy, IE and Tristana are very strong. The Olaf solution would be to half the AS boost on her Q, make W only reset on kills (not assists), and lowering her base stats. Then after an IE nerf that would make her normal form strong, but reasonable, and a few months, you decide she needs a "rework" in which you change WER to AD scaling and change her passive to an AS increase per level, because range is "toxic", or something.
And even then, the reworked kit would make more sense than new Olaf.
Can Riot get rid of that retard Nick Allen already?
soaz could have ended the game right then and there if Khazix homeguard didnt bug. Khazix got in combat at the last splitsecond of his recall (got hit by kogmaw ult, had those vision eyes on him in fountain) but HG kicked in and gave him 1k hp and massive movement speed boost to stop rumble.
I never thought I could hate a person on the internet as much as that cumdumpster. Holy fuck. And I don't even like FNC. But hey, Aatrox healed once after 2 AA instead of 3, better remake that! While theyre at it they should fine reddit as a company 100,000,000 dollars for allowing such slanderous accusations to be posted on their page.

anyone still playing azir? i tried a bunch of different things, and kinda went down a few questionable paths (mainly because if you get ahead at my level it doesnt matter what you build). this build though I consistently do well with. 6-0-6, 14-4-20, 2-1-4 (20 min surrender win), 7-0-6 in the 4 azir games i have in my match history.
the only really important thing to get from runes is 5% cdr, and the attack speed helps with last hitting early game. this rune page is probably not ideal, but its what ive been using. i will probably adjust it, with flat cdr, or consider the cdr mastery.
as reds armor or hp yellow mres or ap blue ap and 1 scaling cdr quint
21/9/0, take the attack speed mastery.
rush athene's and lucidity boots. then get either zhonyas or dcap depending on if you need the defense from zhonyas. void staff, rylais late game.
the reason why i prefer this style over nashors is the power spikes come much earlier. it felt to me like nashor's needed 3 completed items to start doing noticeable damage. with just athene's, lucidity, and NLR you get a huge powerspike that keeps ramping up with each item.
it took a lot of games to get used to his combo (canceling the soldier attack animation with q can increase your damage/kiting/chasing potential quite a bit), how his ult behaves, and the quirks of using e. once you do though he is quite strong.
The last 0.5 seconds of a recall you can do anything to that champ and it doesn't matter. That's how the game has been for who knows how long. So it doesn't matter if homeguard is meant to deactivate on damage or being in combat since neither applies as that magic grace period of the recall is active

Bonus Movement Speed and regeneration are disabled for 6 seconds upon dealing or taking damage.
I guess combat is defined as dealing damage or taking damage. So Nick isn't wrong here.
Reddit detectives did some CSI level shit and figured out that Kha took a few points of damage
Also, the only thing recall doesnt do is cancel. On occasion you are able to die in your fountain if you get hit by a strong DoT in that last split second. Every other state is applied as it should.
I'd be wary of listening to Reddit, especially as Maw shield is larger than Kog's base damage even without accounting for MR. Also it wouldn't matter because Kha'Zix didn't regen 1k HP or something silly like that, and the only difference it would have made was if Rumble tried to kill him, which he didn't. The speed boost? Rumbled ulted the fountain, dealing damage to Kha'Zix and immediatly deactivating the speed boost and regeneration. Kha'Zix just jumped to get out of it and land on Rumble.

recall is still stopped in the last .5 sec if you cc them.
interesting on the recall bit, i wonder if that's because recall doesn't register it as combat damage in that last .5 sec?
I cant believe people are tunnel-visioned so hard on some psuedo-bug and not the fact that Fnatic made many more impactful mistakes that game. They didn't deserve to win, and even then at the nexus had a few things they could have done to win. Soaz walked into isolation range and had poor autoattack spacing. Who gives a shit about homeguards.

I mean, they could have played better and still won, but you can't just claim they don't deserve to win because they made poor choices after the bug. Also again idk if it's a "bug," I just think it's the way Homeguard is coded to work after a recall (which at least goes against our expectations as players)
