Especially Olaf but it's probably been 20++ games since I saw any of those. Olaf is basically unplayable without having 2 speedups (aside from your own ghost) on his team. Since he likes ghost so much, he also is rough to play against Skillshot junglers which you cant evade without blowing your ult (which is also needed to fight in/deter all ins). He used to work well with Lulu mid + when Talisman was the strongest support/Sivir was popular. His jungle clear is good, but gets invaded too easily by the high mobility Kha/Lee, who also outtrade him pre-6. Overall, the kit is less fun/coherent than the Pre-Rework Olaf, and isn't strong enough to bust out if you aren't having tons of fun. Hmm yeah Olaf just seems very meh and he makes no sense to be honest. Before you at least had a clear upside to using ult which is normal, now it's like you just get blown up when you ult.
I know that it's a different game, but compare this to Smite's Vamana ult which functions similiarly:
Vamana grows to an enormous giant. While Vamana is enraged, he is immune to crowd control, gains 5/10/15/20/25 protections, 40/65/90/115/140 physical power, 5% health regeneration and his basic attacks now damage all enemies in a 12 ft radius. You can right click to cancel his giant form early. Lasts 6s plus Sleeping Giant. Cost: 100 mana.
Cooldown: 90 seconds.
Of course it's not directly comparable but it gives him CC immunity, some armor and mres, insane hp regen(5% hp5), 100% cleave attacks with enormous hitboxes and loads of bonus damage. It lasts for 6 seconds and up to 10 seconds more(extends by 0.5 seconds for every instance of damage he takes from gods aka champions) so it can last a total of 16 seconds. He's still not a top tier but is a viable pick and a valid hardcarry as the case in my opinion should be. Compare this to Olaf's ult which is just total crap in comparison.
Of course I'm not saying it should be -this- good but it should be far better than it is right now. At least gaining resistances would be reasonable to expect.

They intentionally changed Olaf away from that because voyboy scared them, or something (not that he wasn't op). But new Olaf is hard to build, build a comp around, and use ideally for sure.

Does it even make sense to build Mercs on Irelia if youre 21 in defense? I mean Mercs lose value with 21 in defense regardless, but Irelias passive is super strong as well in that regard... Wouldn't you be better of buying Tabis or Zerkers?

It had absolutely nothing to do with him being 1st pick/ban in tournaments for literally months.

I know PBE has its own thread but I'm curious for thoughts on this http://www.surrenderat20.net/2014/09/926-pbe-update.html They removed RNGG from GP's ult and made it an AOE and replaced akali's defensive stats in shroud for MS. I don't play either so I'm just curious
Akali Twilight Shroud (W) no longer grants 10/20/30/40/50 armor or mr . Twilight Shroud (W) now grants 60/70/80/90/100% burst of movement speed which decays over 1 second while in shroud.
Gangplank Cannon Barrage (R) now deals equal damage over the entire area in waves instead of random spots with cannon balls. Cannon Barrage (R) duration now 7 seconds from 6. Cannon Barrage (R) cooldown now 125/110/95 from 120/115/110 Cannon Barrage (R) now listed a damge per second instead of flat damage per cannon ball.

Really don't like the Akali change, in general she's just pretty weak because her only defensive skill is rendered useless with 100 gold. An Akali change I could see work is lower range on R, make it a skillshot (so you can also use it defensively and if you hit a champion with it it does damage.
The movement speed on W will help offensively but it won't do much when you jump in and the other team pinks you.
GP, no idea, does anyone even play him anymore?

? how can u not see thats clearly a massive buff

It's a pretty big buff but it ain't going to help her in competitive play.

How would you make up for W being a shorter ranged skillshot? Because now she doesn't require a minion and has a "free" dash?
On September 27 2014 13:32 wei2coolman wrote: Just messing around in normal, what do you guys think about support Viktor? The shield allows him to trade pretty good in lane. You don't do much damage with Q now, you need the auto which means you effectively have 500 range. It's also much weaker than before until you hit level 13 if you max it first, because the auto damage scales with Viktor's levels and is backloaded. (It's actually later than level 13 if you include the auto rather than just the Q damage).
E is weaker poke, and if you want a vacuum Orianna is still there and doesn't require 1k gold just for it. If you want the damage, poke, and some cc, better play Vel'Koz.

Oh really? Why, is it because you gain the ability to attack Akali if you buy upgraded sweeper?

ok i was talking about the gangplank ult lol that shit is actually so buffed man no more pulling our ur hair when all ur shit misses to rng rng confirmed unfun toxic uncounterplayable

On the other hand, no more ~1100 damage when you don't even have AP to a guy with 100 MR and your level 2 ult. (I'll never get other that deathrecap. D: )

Lulu E in terms of numbers only, does it matter if you use it offensively or defensively? I mean if we take all penetrations, resists, situations where you will be hit but not able to retaliate, etc is it more beneficial to use it as a shield or as a damage or numbers are equal?

Purely in terms of numbers, it's stronger as a shield.

I just EQ people early on in lane though (as a support) because I have potions, it lets me hit my Q more reliably (and hit 2 people more easily) and since I have pots I value dropping the enemy asap to be able to zone him while we both pot up over saving my HP. I need the mana yo.
In teamfights it depends, if I want to tag someone we chase I'll E a minion or something, otherwise I'll shield my ally who's getting jumped.

Well that was only when Warmogs was OP. They gutted him when it was more a case of the itemization being too strong and now he's never been seen since.

Nerfing akali seems so random. And yes I at least consider this a significant nerf, she already has multiple blinks. I guess now she can... run in circles to evade AoE? But she already got blown up during her shroud, now she'll get blown up even harder.

Yeah I really doubt he'd be first pick first ban with 10% current hp BotRK, can't compare like that.

Just Riot gutting Champs for no real reason. Nothing to see here, you were loved one time Cass.

Well, I hear the voice for the new Sion and after the first word I recognize the voice immediately. Its the guy who voiced Sindri from dawn of war and other characters from the series.
I like him already just because of the voice actor
