Your complaint is that it's too easy to find or.. what? when a very very very stupid person decides to play a game and act like they know what they are doing and then its proven he infact not only doesn't know, but doesn't blames others. his entire point makes him look like an idiot, and because that person made the choice to do so in a public game, and call out and say they are the victim of a bad team. people are going to make fun of you and enjoy themselves are your expense. Thats not something that should be punishable, that's human nature.  if they wanted to curb people tilting and raging in games, they'd put a "cooldown" on queuing for games. if you get reports, you get longer cooldowns, taking time away from the game inbetween matches helps calm you down and you don't get frustrated as much. but they cuts into profits. if people know they can't play as often they won't buy as much RP. meanwhile you never know you are going to be banned or chat restricted, it kinda just...happens. often a couple days after you did anythign wrong. same with tribunal, you don't get told immediately about the tribunal it kinda just happens a week or so after the fact. there are numerous people that have gotten no chance to change their behavior inbetween their warning and first ban, because they happened back to back, the warning showed up, and then the next day the 2nd tribunal case came in and they were banned. that doesn't happen anymore because no tribunal. Riot doesn't want to implement the proper systems that will helpw ith people raging and being dicks, they'd rather this system as it is, shaming them and encouraging the community to do so by example (there is 0 reason for ANYONE in charge of managing customers to publicly shame and berate a customer like the way lyte does. it can easily be handled privately, but they choose not to, encouraging others to do the same by example). The current system of chat restrictions and tribunal encourage smurf account and with it, extra cash spent on RP for boosts/rune pages/champs. | ||

Of course when you twist words and statements to fit your own nonexistent narrative I can see how you might forget such details or just forgo them entirely. But don't worry, I'm obviously just part of the Riot Defense Force here to make sure no one finds out about the secret banned player prison camps. Odd how everything seems to boil down to this hatred for Riot. No other company would ever berate customers? Odd, Spirit Airlines seems to be doing just fine for insulting it's customers because they feel the prices are so low they don't have to care about complaints. Conversely any company will gladly kick out unruly/disruptive customers because it makes others not want to be around if they have to deal with crazy. Again, walk into any store and start shouting at another patron calling them names you will be escorted out and possibly banned. | ||

No one comes up to and says "parnage, this guy was just reported for X do you think its deserved?" its up to the individual player to determine what THEY decide is report worthy. and for some people when they are in a bad mood, its not much. and if they are in a good mood, they can take a lot more shit from people. Making up something like saying oh, if you are reported you MUST be guilty of cursing someone out and going way too far is silly. we don't know exactly why every person is reported, so you can't treat them all the same. Its like people suspected (not accused formally) of a crime being treated as guilty by everyone before its actually investigated. | ||

This is where the anecdotal evidence of all the "I'm toxic but have never even been reported" people comes into play though. You don't get chat restricted, or fucking rank restricted(which is going to be a higher tier offense/punishment), without actually doing some bad shit. That has pretty much been proven by a massive amount of anecdotal evidence and Riot red posts outing those who claim to be the 'wrongfully restricted' ones. There are better things to use as a defense/argument against this system than the "I swear I wasn't bad" rabbit hole of bullshit. | ||

You get 3 messages at the start, no all chat period but you can still see it if enabled, about 2 lines of chat per message (essentially a tweet), and 1 message every 4 minutes until 20 minutes and then its every 6 minutes? and a cap of 5 messages allowed at a time. so no banking them. its a flat number of games, 3 at the first restriction and then increasing every time, regardless of distance between restrictions. a restriction from 4 months ago counts toward the next level of restriction. pings are fine, but more limited in number than normal. i think its 5 in quick succession rather than 7 or 8? good standing is obfuscated but riots officially stated "you have to be more positive than negative" and that "game related chat is neutral". and its lifetime. | ||

Edit : classic example. If you say "too bad" after one of your allies almost gets a kill and is unable to finish it off or dies, a lot of people on EUW will think that you're telling them that they suck. | ||

They'll pitchfork and while I dislike the term "circle jerk" over just about anything. I'm not going to blame reddit for being itself beyond that I don't like that kind of stuff. One of the reasons I'm not liking the look of the beta league boards is it reminds me too much of reddit. I've got no problem with Ryze. While I don't like the idea of giving out chatlogs for every "unban me I'm innocent" thread(it'd still be a great show just saying) if you decide to take the public forum route instead of just an email I'm not going to blame Ryze for showing chat highlights of what happened and reasoning behind a ban. In the end toxic players are a minority, those banned a minority of that. Of course the issue as always is that they tend to be quite loud and verbose and can drive people away from the game and make a community seem worse then it actually is. Done for now stuff to do, just remember while we may disagree doesn't mean I wont give you bear hug of happiness. | ||

Related to Ranked Restrictions, we’ve determined that Ranked Rewards should reward positive sportsmanship just as much as they reward great play, so the most negative players who are Ranked or Chat Restricted at the end of the season will be ineligible to earn ranked end of season rewards such as the loading screen borders or Victorious Morgana champion skin. | ||
