Alright, we're going to call it a day with all the Thorin drama, guys. I figured if it was about SI, onGamers, TSM, etc, it had some relevance to League but somehow you guys managed to devolve the discussion into an issue about race of all things.
Enough is enough. Let's move along now.

What results? Doesn't team DK live in a mansion? Don't really see why you would want to live with no personal space if your team can afford it. Is this just being negative for the sake of it?

I play about 70% of my games on my own. I never duo in ranked. I play ARAMS and normals with friends, but I probably play more of those on my own too.
(I also play bot games on my own occasionally, which I think is pretty rare on the whole).

Looking to get back into the game a bit. I'm wondering what the current 'top picks' are per role? One or two for each role would be great if anyone has the time.

You could fit like 10 Korean teams in there.

Probably something like this:
Top: Jax, Shyv Jungle: Lee, Eve, Elise Mid: Kassadin, Kayle, LeBlanc (although there are a lot of viable mids currently) Adc: Twitch, Lucian Support: Braum, Thresh, Morgana

The question was for 'top picks' though. (I probably mislead by talking about viable mids, I meant to say that in midlane there is less of an hierarchy currently, compared to other positions)

I know you can get rent on some good 6 bedroom houses for only 3000ish which is affordable on an LCS salary, but its still silly, and i have no idea about the markup for being in southern cali or europe.

Having a nice house is pretty cool, but I wonder about the work ethic that exists in such luxurious conditions, since this not only their house but essentially their 'office' where they work. Has any team thought of having a separate training facility (maybe just a small office space with a lot of gaming rigs) separate from the house they live in? It seems like teams may be more productive with practice/strategizing/discussion if they actually have a designated area to work that is more than a door apart from where they recreate and relax and sleep.

Believe TSM has a separate building at their house where they practice.

Mostly this, but some other "tier 1.5" picks are:
Top: Trundle (mainly as a counter to Shyv), Tryndamere (for when you want to split push and Jax is banned) Jungle: Vi (assuming no Morg on their team) Mid: Nidalee (dem spears), Yasuo (as a counter to Nidalee) ADC: Jinx (scales better w/ items than Lucian, about equal scaling as Twitch) Support: Leona (the OG Braum, only with an initiate), Nami (usually paired with Twitch for added safety to the rat)

probably doesn't make much of a difference since they have a manager to force them to play and adhere to a schedule

A lot of (swedish) CS teams back in The day did pretty much this. They got sponsored by internet cafes and basically got their own room fully kitted in the cafe where they would do their practice. It seemed to be a really nice setup that pretty much benefited everyone involved. I don't know if they still do this but I think nip is still sponsored by Inferno Online?
Also wouldn't it be nice if the new fresh looking summoners rift would be paired with a new equally fresh looking client? Maybe one that doesn't use fucking adobe air, that doesn't crash or bug out completely on a daily basis and just sort of, I don't know, works?
But I guess that really would be too much to ask for.

I won't even log in without at least a 3-stack. Ranked and Normal are 100% the same game so long as you have sufficient n, and that game is not worth playing without friends.

BONUS EXPERIENCE Jungle monsters no longer give additional experience based on their level (to remain consistent with lane minion experience) Fuck. This is just targeted at LCS play. In solo queue I'm now not only going to be under the support's gold, but also their level.
