You know, it's possible that the angle of the camera has nothing to do with the imbalance and it's more like throw worm position on the map being much harder to disengage from as purple?

Or like maybe how purple side's blue buff is cross map from baron?

There are kind of a lot of factors which affect the winrate. Maybe it is partly the angle, as the aram distribution suggests, but it's possible that it's something entirely different.

I felt odd reading the side imbalance complaints because people really tunneled onto camera angle and I just thought "literally never in my entirety of my time on league have I gone, well shit this camera angle is really fucking me over"

Alright, just gone done with Yorick all for one and its pretty fun lol

I think he meant that there should be top-right side advantage in different game like Dota and SC as well then.

It wont until the teams get closer in level of play, but as the continued growth of the 5 major regions (well atleast 4 of them, GPL im not so sure) go on the games will be closer and closer. Interestingly enough did we not see through sufficiencies numbers that on mirror maps the difference was still there? (TT and HA had a blue advantage as well iirc, correct me if I'm wrong here). OFC this doesnt automatically mean 1 solution is the only reason, or a reason at all. Even though I dont work as an analyst anymore it would be extremely interesting to see what results this discussion yields.

For top lane, once the outer turrets are down, the view distance is drastically skewed once pushing past river. your left to right view distance pushing towards purple's inner is much wider than the top to bottom view distance when pushing towards blue's inner. I've noticed feeling much more comfortable blue side as a result. I tend to play top lane very aggressively, drawing attention to my overly pushed lanes to create space for my other lanes to either catch up or extend their leads. Blue side makes this much easier. There are also more ways to hop over walls, or juke in purple's redside jungle. Blue's blueside is a fucking deathtrap.

I wonder. Do you guys that feel more comfortable playing one side vs the other play with locked camera? Seems like the only real difference between league and other games.

I think there are issues with the actual map that isn't about camera angle though. Just wondering why camera handle is talked about more than the map itself.

Because the most glaring issue with the map is how it's viewed. Things like baron placement is at least somewhat counter-weighted by dragon placement.

I think because similar results where found for multiple maps, including one for all twisted treeline which obviously is both perfectly balanced and symmetrical

playing botlane on blue side is SOOOO much better than playing purple side botlane. The camera angle is just so bad for botlane, you have to play unlocked basically 100% or you cannot see anything. Idk about the other lanes since I don't play those as much, but I feel like there's a huge disadvantage for purple side there.
