Before you go WTF CHALLENGER WINS 60% ON BLUE SIDE, know that challenger players win 55% of the time over all, so their blue side win rate is inflated too. Not really a chess guy, but I think white advantage is around the same. Hovering around 55%.
Funny, one redditor PMed me saying the same.
This is actually a lot more serious than I originally expected.

this literally has no bearing on 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of all games played except for the final game of a tournament set when the score is even.

It affects the games before the set is even too. Though tournament level play isn't shown in the chart.

both teams get both sides the same # of times in a set except for the final game.
wonder how long it'll be before there's a reddit thread: I'm wood 5 and just lost 10 in a row because i got purple side 8 times.

What would first mover advantage have to do with League?

Yeah, it's just a way to compare league's blue side advantage to some other well known game's advantage for one particular side.

It would be nice if they would allow players on purple to turn on an option like the "Always Up" option in NHL videogames. I'm not sure what would be required to make that a possibility, but it would certainly go a long ways towards evening out that win %.

In that Zac is bad or he's going to be new hipster FotM?
Cause as a Zac jungler back in s3, I'm 99% sure he's terrible in current meta. I did try him in a couple games too, he just doesn't do enough damage or get tanky fast enough.

It's a joke... People keep going "In x of my last x games I had people DC/drophack/AFK/troll/etc, this is ridiculous and Riot needs to do something about it."
|
Well drophacking does exist, and Riot does need to fix that. DC's, trolls and afk'ers happen as well, it's just that most of those happen below Gold 1 or so. Not saying it doesn't happen in Gold+, but it seems to happen less at that ranking from what I know.
That's what the reporting system is for.

i doubt that. strategy in league is one thing, in real situation where peoples lives are on the line is a totally different one
The more I think about it, the last time i talked to the AF they told me recruitment rates for every branch are pretty low now despite the fact jobs are scarce, so i wouldnt be surprised if its another way to reach the masses. Even though I can only realistically see the Air force/Navy doing this personally.

the sad part is that people will actually believe this, probably people on reddit the same people who post Sun Tzu every two days and claim it helped them reach Gold 3
