I've done calculations and looked at the charts and when I get in game it's really hard to be optimal because of all these other factors like regen and lifesteal and shields and item slots and gold.
If you have slightly over 1k gold, get the belt. If you have less, get the chain vest and some wards. The armor part of Randuins has better denominations to fill later. If you have a chain vest and 300 gold, upgrade to wardens If you have chain vest and 700 gold upgrade boots
I've done mass health builds and found them rather weak during laning for example where I just get poked down and my life pool diminishes to nothing. Which is weird since for the 1 digit levels, stacking health vs someone who only does physical damage (almost none exist) is still better than stacking armor in terms of effective hp.
That explains Quas' Mundo build. Giants belt, two ruby crystals, Sunfire, Warmogs. With %hp quints.

effective hp doesn't matter in lane obesechicken, a potion is as good as a ruby crystal for less than 10% of the cost. You only need a small edge in stats to win a lane based on superior trades so 3 pots and a cloth armour are far superior than a ruby crystal in any prolonged situation the advantage in cs should easily pay for the 3 pots
all in potential tends to matter a lot more later though, when you have your CC spells disengaging forces youto lose hp. Early on the creep aggro is enough to justify running away though, since you de-aggro the enemy creeps

im sadangry that braum is so strong cos inevitable overnerf zzz

While jungling sometimes I prefer Warden's first because the extra armor makes jungle sustain better. Depends on the jungler though.

What junglers have issues with sustain after they get their first jungle item?

I feel like Rengar is 100% back to his old ways. I do not like Rengar very much.
Also, I am very surprised at this suggestion to get a giants belt before wardens mail when building Randuins. I feel like it's a situational thing, and in many situations the wardens mail will be a better first buy.
What kind of situations and on what champions with what runes and masteries are we talking about I wonder.

I think health is generally better at earlier levels than resist.

considering typical base stats health is pretty much better until you get over 2k hp

I definitely learned some all-in tactics from watching Fate (Fishing) on Fizz.

The only example I can think of that this doesn't apply to is Bloodthirster. GL rushing giant's belt against someone like renekton or riven, because it will set you 280g further your randuin's than chain vest (but you will fail lane).
Why would you just get the chain when you could get the Wardens mail for that additional 280 gold?

i found out about fate a while ago because he used to duo queue with destiny when destiny played league. his stream is pretty good, i can only watch in small doses though, I actually get bored of the one trick ponying.

Many junglers cannot fully sustain their health with just the Spirit item, especially the non-Elder Lizard ones. One particular challenge is the big wraith camp.

Did they buff Rengar's leap range or something? It looks a LOT longer than before.

In my games I have been seeing the Ryan Choi 3-4 dorans blade into Tiamat+lots of arpen items Rengar build over and over in the last 2 or 3 days, and it seems like it is very strong.
