yeah actually the ff nerf was very effective, i just don't think that getting elder lizard instead is going to magically turn master yi into an early game presence that is going to keep your lanes from losing.

FF is effective if you can prolong the laning phrase. Pushing the ff finishing time close to 20min when laning phrase is about/already over dramatically reduce the its effectiveness. FF junglers are strong in skirmish such as 1v1, 2v2, so when laning phrase is over and team starts to group up, you can't really pick off or gank people anymore. Moreover, it's harder for you to gain stacks(since you have to share camp),

Those extra 5 creeps are actually huge. You just get less and less time to farm those creeps as the game goes on because there's other shit to deal with.

seems like between 1-3 armor quints and hp seals (with 2 armor quints probably the most common) is what both supports and ADCs in korea are running now. i definitely thought it was odd that they left the quints at such a high relative value when they nerfed armor seals.

the travel time from base to baron was just a hypothetical use of math/timing based coaching/preparation that i thought of at like 3am, not a specific claim made by anyone. like when KT is doing a 2 man baron at 25 minutes do you really think that they don't have a very good approximation of how much time the other 3 members need to stall the other team and exactly when they should join them in the baron pit to finish him off before the other team can react?

if korean coaching staffs aren't doing a ton of math and timing grunt work for the pro players, what exactly are you claiming that their role is?

He is basically a cheating(yes he did cheat) map rigging over egotistical player who should just be forgotten and should have never been unbanned here in the first place

but what the fuck does that have to do korean coaching infrastructure?

It has nothing to do it with. They're really emotionally disturbed/unhappy people who care so much about what someone did when they were a teenager and have spent 0 time ever talking to them at all in the last 3years. Coach 명원 of Ozone works on the maths/timings. He goes over using files/in-house giant whiteboard with the players timings w/ sticky notes. Coach 임현석 goes over picks/bans and also used to study other peoples habits/replays he could get from op.gg etc. The head coach of Samsung (former Head-coach of SC2) works on basically keeping them disciplined/in-line etc during scrims. They also now have two other coaches strictly for other stuff I believe.

If you people really think that a country who is so top heavy on winning and whose sponsors are shelling out hundreds of thousands of dollars, aren't going to have coaches who before going into a tournament match goes over math/damage output at *important* levels (laning phase/mid game) then idk what to say. Their lives depend on winning. If winning means memorizing a small amount of damage so you can click an avatar and go 'Oh I can kill him here' is hard, then I guess people think memorizing the math times table was hard in elementary school. If you're only playing 5-8 champs, it's not hard to memorize "My E-Q at this level does X against X Armor/MR value". Dandy used to do stuff on his own, going into single-player w/ different masteries/rune sheets and timing his clear times differently. He'd only do this for like 3-4 champions since he knew that would be all he would be picking/playing in the tournament. Doing this math probably isn't important 100% of the time.

edit - for the non-so-toxic people, I've said many times I'm not *currently d1* I hit it on stream before going back to USA for the emergency lung-treatment for 6weeks(early february). I played some placements prior (soft-reset) then some games. While in America I didn't want to the decay to affect it entirely (going into gold) so I let a Korean friend use the ID to prevent that a bit, he didn't do very well but oh well. I came back and HoTS got released so I played that non-stop. I just started playing league about 1.5weeks ago or so again after the HoTS wipe, so the only ID's I have that *mine* are D5/p1/p4/g1/g3/s4 . Gonna take me a while to get back, I'm learning new champs/new lane and yes I'm quite bad in current shape, no denying that. Also never said I'd play in LCS ever, said I got invite from coke-league team. I'd be bad in LCS, but maybe if given time could do well (2-3months) I don't know, it's my opinion.

Phreak talked about it in that video that was posted a while back. Armour quints weren't touched, so it's now much more effective to run health seals and armour quints if supporting. Depending on which support you were, you might take an AP quint or two as well.

Don't see why not, you already have 1 person that isn't making it into the LCS.

Just mad cus a country with <2% NA's population, has a better team :D

If your team lose lane earlier you lose a lot of map pressure meaning less time to farm jungle. The nerf hits were pretty significant. Also the price increase also means slower purchase time, affecting the clear speed of not having wriggles as early.

Also reading Twitter today I've seen coL.SupportDady tweet saying that CLG Zorozero is confirmed already.

with the dexter's success in NA and his connection to NIP along with zorozero being considered the best non-lcs western top laner it almost makes too much sense not to happen.

One thing about the jungle items that I don't really understand is this emphasis on the "big monster". I mean, smite stealing red, blue, dragon, and baron is already pretty strong/sometimes crushing.

Perhaps someone can explain, what my current state (admittedly compromised by booze, thank god for Fridays!) feels is a Riot-smite-steal-fetish.

It's to reward counter jungling without forcing you to stick around forever.
