- Nocturne, Morgana, Sivir locked in - after I do my "get fucked Noc" routine and countergank for the first blood, Jax gets wrecked by Rumble despite his TP and his completed item is a Banshee's Veil Their mid was Nidalee so she just sat in the back and chucked spears. Urgh, once we got at least one tier2 tower and control around the baron area it was so hard to initiate on them. :[ Fuck y'all spellshields. Good thing Rumble was fed enough to melt anyone we caught or who decided to sit on us (Hi post-ult Noc) and I snowballed Draven hard enough that we could afford to initiate on Jax after popping his Banshee and still win fights.

Things that are now legal via "you can have it as long as it uses information that you already have!" ENEMY COOLDOWN TIMERS I can look up your runes/masteries. I can see your items. I can know what a skill's level is based on how much damage it does to me. (meaning I know the skill's cooldown) EXAMPLE: enemy skill does 100/150/200/250/300(+1.0AP) damage with 20/19/18/17/16 cooldown The enemy is level 8 with 200 AP and 20% CDR from runes/masteries/items I have 100 MR The enemy hits me with that skill and does 175 damage Do some basic math, and you can calculate that he has that skill at rank 2 based off how much damage it does to your MR. Now that I know it is at rank 2, I can calculate what the cooldown of that skill is. That skill's cooldown is 15.2 seconds. I arrived at this conclusion based on information that is readily available to me. Under Riot's new 3rd party software policy, enemy CD timers are legal. ENEMY WARD/TRAP TIMERS I know the length of duration on enemy wards/shrooms/traps/etc. If I see an enemy place a ward, I know where it is and when it was placed. A mod that shows enemy ward locations that you saw placed is now legal. LAST KNOWN ENEMY LOCATION I can look at the map and see the enemy. When his icon disappears, I can begin to count. A mod that has an "Enemy last seen here X seconds ago" icon is now legal. Would be useful in knowing where the enemy jungler possible could be. "He was last seen 25 seconds ago top, heading towards his golems? We should be safe bot for another 30 seconds!" ENEMY TOTAL GOLD COUNTER You know how much each individual lane minion is worth. You know how many of each minion the enemy killed, since minions give vision. You can average how much gold they received from jungle minions. You know if they have gold/5 runes/masteries and you know the gold over time that everyone gets. ENEMY RANGE AND TOWER RANGE INDICATORS You can lolwiki the range of skills and tower shots. A mod that creates circles around enemy champions/towers indicating their auto attack and skill ranges is now allowed. If Riot begins to allow 3rd party software, the game will become an arms race of who can get the best 3rd party software. You cannot say dragon/baron timers or ally ult timers are allowed because it uses information that you "earned", while the other mods i mentioned above are not allowed. It will then just become a "3rd party arms race of mods that Riot randomly chooses to be allowed" race. League is a stats game. You can do some pretty seemingly unfair things if you can instantly perform complex calculations using all the stats that are "readily available" in-game. If you have 3rd party software that does complex calculations like this, there's no question you will have a huge advantage over a player that doesn't.

It's not as comparable as WoW arena, but the Age of Empires 2 community embraced a large number of add-ons even at the tournament level (granted some add-ons were necessary just to make the game work), probably to a more significant degree than WoW arena ever did. I don't like knowing teammates ult cooldowns. Even basic coordination is significant enough that riot gives duo queue groups an MMR disadvantage when they're facing groups without a duo in them, so they clearly think this level of communication is worth something tangible. Timers I could care less about. I agree with all the slippery slope stuff. Also, I take back what I said about not enjoying non-FF lv4 gankers like Nautilus right now. The solution is just to build FF (eventually) since no-one will stop you from getting your levels alright, and counter-ganking feels less common now. I'm liking spirit stone -> madreds and boots -> tank item -> FF -> tank items, since usually when I build the wriggles it'll be close enough to 30 stacks that I don't have to sit on wriggles. Also enjoying the improved CDR/lv blues on him a lot.

I have done Ranked 5's with a group of all D1 players where people are too lazy to communicate ult timers, and properly time dragon/barons. It's mostly about how hard/seriously people are trying though. Doesn't help that 90%+ of ranked 5's games are stomps.

His W and R are almost exactly the same (in concept rather than technicalities) as 2 abilities I had for 2 "tanks"/disruptors concepts. Picture me pretty satisfied.
