Went through the free week playing a lot of him, started off feeding hard ("Xerath hard counters Yasuo" - Me, last tuesday), got the hang of him on Friday and finally now am comfortable with him, thank you based team builder, enough to feel that I can carry games given a reasonable lane. He is ridiculous amounts of fun but definitely a certainlyT champ - his kit does a billion different things , it was hard to get used to that starting out and now it feels like my opponents just have a lot to deal with (the fucking wall though)
Is Yasuo considered to be in a good place right now, balance wise? On release he was pretty over tuned but he seems to be less and less banned in high level ranked from just watching streams. Also who does Yasuo do well in lane vs? Is it really everyone minus Riven?
I still don't know how Yasuo is supposed to work. He seems like he is really strong against poke and short trades, and would be weak to all ins, if champs capable of All-Inning him were more popular mid, but they arent.
Also his teamfights are super feast or famine. I just don't know what Riot's plan is with Yasuo yet, if they have one.
Edit: HYPEEEE: + Show Spoiler +https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSGEY7MGZmw
I think I have all the base champs that I'm gonna need. Unless they pull a fast one.

He is not just feast or famine in teamfights. He also depends quite a bit on his team to knock things up for him. This is particularly important when he is roaming in early - mid game, since his R provides a lot of gapclosing.

Balls is probably a better toplaner than Dyrus but not so much so your team gets noticeably weaker when you swap them out. In fact I think Balls/Dyrus(/Zionspartan?), Wildturtle/Doublelift and Xspecial/Aphromoo are probably pretty much interchangeable for Allstars. The only clear better than the rest choices are Meteos and Bjergsen.

have they by chance announced the urfday skin yet? or any suspected news of what it could be?

Sufficiency how did you pull so many games so fast? Does riot give out full dev keys for data mining? Fastest i can think on the demo key would pull about 36,000 games/hour which you seem to have far exceeded.
Alternately, is your data available?

W can provide huuuge utility when used well though. Wind walls negating multiple ults have happened whilst playing Yasuo, and it feels great. Tbh I feel like his main weakness his his lack of escapes (without enemy minions). He's great at defending his tower but most gankers of today do well against him (Wu/Eve/Vi). Also hilarious to play vs Ori, gl having no Ball.
I play him mid, but I really want to get into Lux again. She was one of my favourites in S2/3 but I always feel afraid playing her because people will pop out a Zed or something bullshit like that.

You get a little less than one request / second, and you get general info for ten games per request, and ten individual champion play sessions per game. It adds up pretty fast if you just care about general information like game length, which champions were in it, and who won/lost etc.
I've got a big database of ~1.7m games along with most of the information you get from those requests, if anyone's interested.

Two keys mining at the same time. Also, I distinguish the following:
1 game = 10 players, 10 champions played, game type, time which it was played, who won - that's it.
1 record = 1 player's info in one game, which also includes KDA and other more detailed info.
So you might get this impression that I got a lot of games (from the pentakill stats, for example), but each of those records is not a complete game, but more like 1/10th of a game.
I think Eiii's approach is much better though, because with a database everything is automatically sorted and organized. I have to ETL my data from plain text each time I want to do something, and because the data is in small chunks I have a lot of issues making things work without a huge struggle.

For the moment I am only really concerned with the game info. I am comfortable with what I can get from the API though not whether or not i can get it into a reasonable format since I have tended to work with series which come distributed to me in nice, clean, CSV's. If someone had a database i could pull from that would make things a lot easier even if i had to learn how to pull from it

Janna was not bad in lane when she was good just like sona was not as weak in lane when she was pick ban. She thrived on pushing towers rather than protect the adc comps compared to Taric and Soraka who were a product of that supports had insane numbers both base and scaling rather than adcs being stronger than they are now.
Karma is currently used for more of her disengage than her engage in siege comps. Morgana is shitty engage at best and peel decently but hardly close to stronger peel champs like Thresh, Lulu and Alistar. Her offensive capabilities are more and stopping low damage cc and then snowball into dragon fights and setting up mid game sieges which are her strongest phases in the game.
You see exactly why Morg is not very picked in EU LCS. People forgot the matchup let her get to midgame. Then they remembered that you can punish morg lanes hard unless your Leona.
More items do not favour burst supports its more of the opposite because they have problems vs anything with 1.5 hp items or more. Sightstone and Crucible is the core items on supports neither gives much burst or survivability.

Fanboys #1 The voting is just gonna decide who goes to play in troll games not like it matters lol. The top team is playing in the real tournament anyways. Man, I hope TSM goes to Paris over C9. Anyone know if KR going to send this season's OGN winners or are they going to default to SKT K? CLG will go. SKT will go because they amassed so many points due to the Winter season and Allstars is before the Spring Finals.
I thought each region is sending their "best" team for the invitational. As much as I love CLG, I don't think they qualify for that unless they win the next Play-Offs.
The All-Star Invitational Serving as this year’s main event, the All-Star Invitational will bring together the regional winners of the NA LCS, EU LCS, LPL, GPL, and OGN Champions. These five teams will duke it out in group stage play, with the top four advancing to a best-of-three semifinal. The winners will meet in in a best-of-five final to compete for the $50,000 winner-take-all prize.
Also, All Stars is on Thursday, May 8 to Sunday, May 11. If OGN Spring schedule is going to be similar to OGN Winter's, Grand Finals should take place roughly in the beginning of May so Spring Finals might finish right before All Stars.
OGN Spoilers + Show Spoiler +I think it'd be weird if SKT K is sent to All Stars when they didn't make Top 8 for OGN Spring. Regardless of their ability as a team.

Depends on whom you're bursting. AD's and AP's did not get any more items. Janna has primarily been about protecting and advancing the power of a consistent DPS AD. The ability of your consistent DPS depends on the strength of the enemy team, both in the number and power of their tanks (whom you more or less have to kill first), and the number and power of their burst (who have the power to kill you before you can do anything) by adding more and more powerful of these, Janna has gotten weaker, even if she has more items herself.
In Season 3 you had 3-4 threats who had money. One was the enemy AD, so that is a combination of tank/burst out of 3 champions. Two tanks and one burst, or two burst and one tank were most common. Sometimes you got lucky(as Janna) and they had extra consistent damage champions
Now you have 5 threats who have money. One is the enemy AD. So you have 4 threats who have money. Call it two burst and two tank. Each one is making the advantage that Janna brought weaker. If they have more burst then you have a harder time protecting your squishies (and you're pretty squishy yourself). If they've more tank then the person you're protecting is less efficient.

I'm conflicted about All-stars because I want to vote for the best players in the region because people like Bjergsen, Dlift, Meteos, etc. deserve that honor.
However, since it's going to be clowny game-modes with funny picks I'd really love to see a crowd-pleaser like Qtpie who I know will bring out some ridiculous picks and is open to doing weird game modes.
The new all-stars is weird - I like that it's got some international competition, but voting for "all-stars" is strange because it's now really just who I want to see doing weird shit as opposed to who I think will give the region the best shot to win.
