The key thing is Brand can't really initiate fights later in the game, Annie can. Brands 'potential' feels higher on paper but ehhhhh.
The proposed build is Talisman Sightstone Rylai Liandry. Brand doesn't need AP to do damage, all he needs is Rylai/Liandry and some means of getting to 40% CDR for more stuns. Annie shouldn't be initiating fights later on, Brand's way of CC is much more suited for a support than Annie. Tibbers initiate is OK if you're playing her mid and are stupidly fed, but in ideal situations you want to use it for peeling. lol
i resonate this sentiment

You dont have to peel anything when you stun 3/4 people with Tibbers and they die before the stuns wears off. Annie stun is point and click, Brand is a skillshot, how is that more suited?
Given ideal situations where you hit 3-4 it's worth it, but if you are, you should be either burning flash or you're playing against god-awful people.
Brand's way of stun is much more controlled than Annie, given she needs to stack up her passive before being able to stun. It's not like Brand EQ is hard to hit anyways.

Tibbers initation is pretty much the only reason to pick annie l0l

This is definitely false. It's not just Tibber... if it was just for the AOE stun, why not Malphite/Amumu/Sejuani support? In fact a lot of her strength comes from the pre-6 laning phase.

Annie support is strong because in the lane phase she gets her stun, walks towards you and gives you the death glare. "Go on, try to farm, I dare you."
Then after laning she has the AoE stun. q.q

It's not instant? Her Tibber has a 0.1 seconds cast time?

as much as i disagree with sufficiency on what he just said i really wish there was less insta put down and personal attacks when people voice unconventional opinions here ;/
so much ROFL WTF YOU RETARD from people who have never put their opinion out on the line.

I'm still not too enamored with Annie support. I still think Sona is better. I don't understand why all the Annie love.
I wish somebody could explain it to me. I can understand why Annie is preferred in a 2v1 lane, but not in a 2v2.

Because as a tradeoff for a tiny bit of sustain Annie actually has all the shit sona has by lvl 6 already starting with lvl 1...tons of dmg, AOe 1.5sec stun and 625 auto range. Her lvl 6 initiation is also not as predictable as a crescendo.
Sona's still good though just not as good as Annie.
Also if Annie is caught out of position in lane by a Blitz or Thresh hook she can actually just turn around and kill them(exception probably Leona). Sona would have to flash an run 99% of the time. Unless she had godlike harass lvl 1-3.

Annie can 1v1 enemy ADC's before they get their defensive item. Annie is much tankier, can often bait out really bad engages from enemies. Annie can stun more than just once in a fight, can often get 2-3 key stuns in a fight, which is huge. etc etc. annie way different than sona.

where does the "brand has bad ap ratios" myth come from. he has one of the highest overall ap ratios in the game.

I wish somebody could explain it to me. I can understand why Annie is preferred in a 2v1 lane, but not in a 2v2. Cause you can literally be getting dumpstered by the other bot lane and as soon as you hit 6 no matter how awful you are aslong as you can tibbers stun you can still shit on them 2v2.
