From what I can tell, we'll see a lot more hybrid mastery pages for pre-season 4. I'm looking at the Offensive tree and I honestly cannot see why an ADC would go more than 12 points into it (5 points for Feast + Fury, 3 points for Brute Force, 4 points for 3 Executioner + Martial Mastery). The armor/magic pen was combined into one mastery, but it's so high up there that it just doesn't seem worth it, assuming the items we have now that give ArPen/MagPen (ie., Last Whisper and Void Staff) still exist in s4. I mean, it's still quite possible ADCs will go 21/9/0, but the benefit seems to drop off significantly compared to the other trees having some of it's major masteries drop down a few tiers. Though looking at these masteries, Riven going 21/9/0 (or balls to the wall 30/0/0) looks deadly. CDR + %dmg increase whenever you use her skills and AA with the Weaving masteries sounds insane on her. Defense seems mostly unchanged, with Tenacity now being moved to the 6th tier but is one flat 15% tenacity bonus. Utility had some minor changed and "quality of life" updates, but that's about it. Maybe I'm just too hyped, but I think you're understating the difference between the proposed masteries and masteries now. The leaked masteries all seem to be much more significant in scope and impact than our current masteries.
For example, take Legendary Guardian in the defense tree. 4 points in legendary guardian potentially gives 20 armor and 10 mr in teamfights, which isn't insignificant. The Runic Shield mastery's 50 hp shield is pretty darn huge for the early game as that's effectively a 10% or more increase in hp at level 1 for the vast majority of champions.
In utility, the standout ones to me are culinary master and alchemist, which effectively increase potion effectiveness by 10% and 23% if you get alchemist. Scavenger also gives supports some more gold, but how impactful this will be relative to the planned changes to support gold remains to be seen.
On top of that, merging a bunch of existing masteries, such as the armor and magic pen masteries or lifesteal/spellvamp is reasonably significant since almost all champions benefit from having both types of penetration or vamp.

So, I've never sent a gift to anyone before so this is going to sound like a silly question. When you send a gift does it tell the person that gets the gift who sent it without the need to put in the comment that it was you who did? Because I sent a mystery gift to a friend who was offline and is still offline so I just wanna make sure.
|
my friend apparently can't send me a gift because i've "reached my limit/am not level 10"...and i've never received a gift before so it's a major cockblock

is your friend level 20+ ?

Meh, the masteries are piecemeal as ever, some slight buffing that's only noticeable the first couple minutes of the game. Seems to be more interesting choices now though, I like that.
edit: I feel like the offense tree just screams "PLEASE PLAY JAX!" now.

In the Reddit thread about the 14yo guy who wants to go pro Snoopeh said that you start earning decent money from streaming with 1000 viewers on a regular basis. How much do you think Bjergson won with his 70k viewers yesterday ?

I liked the changes to AS and CDR in tier 1. It's like "oh fuck, people realizing 4% CDR is better than 4% AS, let´s make it 5% AS and 5% CDR, then people won'´t know wtf is up".

Inspiration (2 Ranks) - +5 experience every 10 seconds while near a higher level allied champion
Meanwhile:
Nidalee features a hidden passive that grants her the power of a "cougar". Nearby allied champions gain +5 experience every 5 seconds if they are a lower level than Nidalee.
Two point mastery vs easter egg. Ok then.

My route is (Blue)-dog-wraith-golem-(red)-dog-wraith then back for madred/boots dog-wraith-golem. I'm thinking if maybe i go back earlier for just razor and take red afterwards, using the second smite on the wraith camp.
Also, maybe shyv isn't the best champ for it, she was just my first instinct. Noc has pretty solid clears, might try him out. I think amumu with ap runes can also do pretty well?
Any suggestions welcome.
bro do you even udyr
how would you think amumu is the best LOL you can just play him in real games get a kill or two push a lane twice and you're level 6 at like 5 minutes. shyv isnt a bad choice though, maybe master yi if you get super lucky, but i doubt you can get too much faster than 5 mins (did you really get lvl 6 at 5 mins? or did you mean 6:13?)

champions with movement speed enhancers are generaly the best at power farming the jungle, usually you spend more time walking between camps than clearing them. It is a boring process to try to get faster lvl 6 by jungling only. If you want super fast lvl6 on a jungler, the best way is to soak a maximum of lane exp. Usually if your toplane is getting slow pushed and the wave is pilling on them, going there for the standart 3min gank without really ganking and just helping your ally to push back the wave (like what you would do in a laneswap situation) you soak much more exp than what you'd have gotten from a wraith and wolf camp. laner's going to cry and report you but hey, haters gonna hate.

The whole point of going to a lane is helping the laner not making him weaker lol.Ganking in a big creep wave is very risky in some situations as well.

There are often situations where it is worth to clear big creep waves -Laner dies, obviously -You gank for FB but your laner dies, soak up dat sweet sweet farm -You gank and your laner is low, whether you killed or not push the wave with him so he can base without losing too much, unless he can freeze but even then its risky -The other guy is freezing the lane so you shove it to tower, it will reset and your laner won't get denied+he can back safely and return in time. (other option is to come from behind tower and dive but only do that if you are a beast)
edit: legendary guardian is 4 armour and 2 mr even in lane LOL. Who let that mastery through, it feels like the early offensive tree is way stronger than further down and the offensive tree gets better. Everyone gonna go 9/21 except supports for dat gold. also LEGENDARY GUARDIAN im going to take it every game and pretend im a super saiyan

It's annoying when my top laner dies early as Nautilus because I'll soak up a fuckton of exp and get 6 early, but oftimes I'll still have to spend time top to make sure he doesn't get snowballed on so I won't be able to gank bot with ult while they're still 5, sometimes 4.
... then again I barely play Nautilus since they raped his W.
^ I wonder how the masteries are going to play out for champs such as Pantheon. You gain a 6 flat AD mastery (rounded), but you lose on 6 ArPen, when going 21 offense. Probably less damage (although the weaving autos and spells stuff goes well for him too; may be good for Jax if his ult counts as a spell proc for this purpose).
I could see myself taking the +AD on some mids just for the harass though, +6-7 AD pre-6 gonna do more damage than + ~10 AP even with her passive.
