E:fucking auto-correct does not approve of LoL terminology. Yes, you can still play Corki in pub play. If these nerfs go through you'll be able to play Jax just fine in solo queue. I can't imagine you'll see Corki at IEM or Battle for Atlantic. Nor Jax if these nerfs happen. edit: I think it's really likely that both champs are going to go from overplayed at worlds to nearly never played competitively. Corki at least was obviously broken/overpowered @ worlds. Jax's late game could use a small tweak downward which this does. I'm not claiming to know if the nerfs are too severe or not yet, merely that the certainly don't appear to be "omg olaf'd" status and calling them either way at this point is baseless. I miss when getting olaf'd was called getting eve treatment :[

I really think the first thing Riot should've addressed is a minor nerf to Triforce. The sheen proc should've went from 200% to 175%. One small item change rather than an across the board nerf of all triforce buffed champions.

Just wrapped up a great game where we lost after taking both their nexus turrets. That's only twice in a row.
Yeah there's no way I can win lol.

Man, I knew Riot would nerf Jax and leave Triforce mostly alone when they changed the proc to being so much damage. -_-
I'm sad because I haven't even been playing much Jax lately, because it brought out the bad Jaxes in droves and I play a bunch of champs that feast on terrible Jax play (chiefly Croc and Rock... huehue).
And Triforce never even needed a buff in the first place.

He isn't ridiculously OP or anything, he is just strong in almost all team comps, popular, and mind numbingly boring to lane against. Horrid combination right there. agreed, renekton is both lane dominant and difficult to gank, and when he gets ahead, there's very little that teams can do against him, considering how tanky he gets and how much damage he can do.
edit: and as far as i can tell, renekton does fairly well in 2v1 lanes also.

Keeping item feel by keeping damage but nerfing champions is something I'm okay with in this case.

After watching all these Nidalee games in NACL lately... AP Nidalee should be destroyed. It's just way too dumb.

And Triforce never even needed a buff in the first place. Triforce wasn't really "buffed". You got 50% more of your base damage on every proc and a consistent movespeed buff but lost the 25% chance to slow with a debuff.
I'll probably play some more Jax after those changes go through because I find him fun, but I haven't been having that much success with him in soloqueue. So I can only guess these changes are for other players or pro games. If he sucks too much, I'll move on to someone else. Good excuse to try something new. Riot changes are like a force of nature. You just can't fight them.

Riot mostly uses the cyclical balance pattern as a monetization tool.

Let me be appear smart by saying "Triforce wasn't really buffed" and then say a statement immediately afterwards that directly contradicts that.
I'm really getting sick of people saying it was just changed- the phage proc was changed yes, the sheen proc was a straight up buff. Please stop being overly pedantic about this.

So in effect, Akali and Irelia got buffed for free? :O

The phage change was a buff too, because its
1) 100%
2) Applicable when you hit a minion
That is, if i want to chase you i can smack a minion. I don't even have to close before i get the "slow"
On top of that there was a 200 gold reduction in price (which has since been removed i think)
edit: All in all the changes made triforce like 20% more efficient on paper not including the advantages of the bonus move speed over the slow. It was really a massive buff and Riot should have known better.

The intention of the triforce change was to make the item more consistent. Not to make it stronger. And Jaxes often still build botrk first.
"appear smart"? lol. "This guy sounds like he disagrees with me on the internet. I'd better make up some shit about him and make veiled insults."
