Orianna is that champ where I do my typical scrub thing eg. bully the other guy without really sending him back and never killing him, so I leave lane even at best, but I get carried later just because as long as you don't outright fuck up she's got so much utility and zone control (and is deceptively not-that-squishy once E is maxed) that you just need to hold till you somehow hit a good ult and then it's come crashing down the enemy front door and win the game.

I never thought that I'd have PrinceXizor on my side for an argument, lol.
To be completely honest, I look at most champs and squint and say "I wonder if I could play this as a support?". It's a consequence of maining support I guess.
I really liked Xerath suppor--- I'm just kidding, I actually just loved Xerath. He was my first ever 6.3K IP champ.
EDIT: One of the most frustrating things was when I was playing ranked 5's with my friends and I involved an Orianna. Four of us are waiting in the bush between red buff and Baron, the enemy team facechecks and I move back a couple units and hold for like half a second to land a 4 man Crescendo. It's fucking beautiful, but then my friend doesn't use Shockwave and me and Olaf just die while Ori runs away with our jungler. Would have been the sickest 3v5 ever into free Baron. :/

that's actually an easy way to get a massive advantage if you get all the cs and they can't get all theirs l2cs

I refunded her like 2 days after I bought her lol the thing is, I don't even think she is all that amazing even if i landed all the combo. Sometimes the stun is amazing, sometimes it is a complete fail. Say in lane I used the wq combo, the damage is just around as high as a annie q and AA for example while being harder to land and more mana. arr, gonna refund her for jinx I think Before you refund her, try to take more advantage of her zoning potential. If the enemy gets hit with the ball enough times, they will be scared to get into range of you moving it on top of them and dropping a W for gank assist. Also, her AA with passive does a whole bunch of damage and she wins a lot of AA trades coupled with shield. I think he means Syndra not Ori
Disregard, I'm dumb.

I've wondered a couple times if Exhaust wouldn't be better on Olaf. In lane, Ignite's prob almost always better just because you don't have the autoattack dps yet to really make use of it, butin teamfights being able to dive right in and use exhaust to force them to stay within range once your ult runs out would certainly make things easier that an exhaust.
Red buff corki valkyrie-ing out then kiting as I had to ult early (Lee + Ori would fuck me too easily if I wait too long) was so painful. ;_; Even hitting axes didn't let me get close to him fast enough. Then again I also managed to not heal myself on their Thresh while having ~25% lifesteal (W+quints), Randuin's/Ghostblade/SV and around 20% health so massive MS, and he did nothing but auto me. Lategame Thresh passive too strong. >>

in season 2, the average game time was longer and 2v1 lanes were not standard, which catered to irelia's strengths
top lane viability in pro play now is largely gated by splitpush/1v1 ability and early/mid teamfighting strength while being potentially starved of farm in lane due to a 2v1. consider five of the current top picks - say, renekton, vlad, singed, jax, and shen - and notice that they all do well in both respects. the one exception is that jax's ability to teamfight from behind is somewhat suspect, which is why teams running jax look for the 1v1. singed is also a bit of a special case, but he still meets the two primary criteria for top laners
irelia struggles to be relevant until her first item is completed - while jax shares this weakness, he is better at playing from a deficit, particularly with regards to splitpushing
it was mentioned that irelia is not played due to poor matchups - she does have a difficult matchup against renekton, but is more or less fine against most popular picks

it would take more than an Assassin nerf to make this untrue. There is actually no point in discussion roles with you, since you don't actually deal with anything other than things exactly as they are done. you don't have the experience or foresight to see things differently. I request you stay out of these discussions as they are clearly not a field in which you have experience. This guy is such a massive douchebag, do you guys seriously not realise everyone is getting trolled and he remains untouched? Oh no, we know. And yet we're chastised any time we mention him in a negative light. It's a lose-lose. Well, it's great for the lurkers because there's this soap opera going on behind the scenes. So much suspense as to who gets baited into having a real discussion with PX and then finally realising it's pointless letting loose with a barrage of insults and proceeding to get banned or chastised by a lurker. Who gives a shit what lurkers think? marines. RIP little guys. Has anyone PBE'd Jynx after the tweak and care to report impressions? Are we still in comically bat-shit-OP land or just very strong?
She's no longer batshit OP, but she's probably still too strong. Riot hit the right notes with their nerfs (W mana cost, E range, general damage levels). However, everything that makes her powerful is still intact. She can still throw her chompers on top/behind a carry moving in to harass, her attack speed steroid is still bonkers, and she still can switch seamlessly between her modes.
