Because the 2nd part doesn't make sense for anyone else either. Riot to tencent, OGN and Garena: "Do whatever the fuck you want" And thus the circuit points, top two of each split and only god knows what they did in Taiwan happened.

Compare that to tristana's rocket jump passive that works off assists and kills. That's not how it works Whenever a champion or tower that Jinx has dealt damage to within the last 3 seconds is killed or destroyed, she gains 175% movement speed that decays over 4 seconds. Her biggest issue is most likely that the attack speed doesn't transfer to the rocket gun. from the champ spotlight it seems that the attack speed from minigun does transfer to rocket gun; it just decays over time, which is fine. If Jinx had her 100%+ aspd steroid on her rocket gun it'd be a bit op.
No, Jinx only gets increased attack speed on her rocket gun for her first shot, but subsequent shots do not get the minigun's attack speed bonus. However, the minigun attack speed buff doesn't fall off right away, which lets you minigun->stack up AS->switch to rocket->fire a rocket->quickly switch back to minigun and still have stacks

Following on from the small EUW lag discussion, i agree with alaric and teut (slayer)
People make a REALLY big fucking deal out of tiny problems (few hours of ranked here, customs down there) but then all those problems add up. If it was in a vacuum bitching so hard about ranked being down is ridiculous and they need to stfu, but 30 problems down the line after 3 months and it starts to look a little more justified.
EUW has small issues on a near constant basis, while they are small, its constant and unacceptable service (even for a "f2p" game. they're the biggest game in the world and people POUR money into their pockets, they have to set standards here, even though they technically fucking dont, which is sad).
Its just that really - the small things add up to the point where its ridiculous. People overreact but the big picture makes it look pretty justified IMO, months of disrupted service and people EXPECTING downtime every week is just not right really.
EDIT: Holy fuck Jinx cameltoe borderline pedo login screen...and a 15 minute queue.

our game is so good there's too many people for the servers to be stable #firstworldproblems

Could be worse, could be WoW after patch day.

I mean, there's clearly an underlying issue that they can't seem to figure out. I highly doubt Riot would leave issues for a whole for no reason.

cause they split up servers and then everyone moved over to one server because people want to play with friends and top players want to play with other top players?
|
Yeah you're right dude, its a first world problem for sure but its one that could be righted (especially considering the fucking £££ they make!) and i know you think everyone overreacts but im sure you dont think riot has a right to have such bad service
Why do they have to split the servers in the first place? AFAIK you just need to increase server capacity which is as simple as increasing the hive cluster right? If all the issues are caused by overload, increase the capacity O.o. Soniv might be right, it could be an underlying issue (hi adobe air.) or it could just be damn lazyness while they sit on their pile of money.
|
i wouldn't presume to suggest that it could be righted easily, I imagine the its a technical problem that riot is working on and people bitching about it doesn't help its not like riot is just diving around in their piles of $bills while the servers are on fire or something
if it was as simple as increasing the capacity they wouldn't have split the servers. There's probably a limit at least until tech gets better
|
Oh im not suggesting its easy to fix, i have no fucking clue at the end of the day, but we also dont know if riot is actually trying to right it, if the moneys flowing why bother, alot of companys take that approach too often. Not implying either way though.
|
if people are bitching so much about it when its not even that bad, you can guarantee they are going to be scared about losing money imagine what the official forums must be like
|
I dont wanna O.O
Slowly memorising this jinx song. I might shoot you in the face, teut.
I really do remain skeptical on an underlying issue taking so long to fix though. I dont have a clue but i cant imagine something so important with so many resources available taking so long to fix, i think its more a lack of pushing the issue on riots side, perhaps taking so long because they arent freeing up those resources to fix it.
The bitching is silly for such small problems, but it adds up like i said. Im more laid back because im unaffected by alot of them (fuck yeah, dodgy timezones!) but imagine being hit by every single problem O.O that would piss off anyone

riot can just design a minigame for people to play while waiting in queue (server or game queues) they're going to make millions

even a little downtime can translate into a lottttt of lost cash when you have a customer base this wide. google has probably 99.9% uptime and that's still enough to lose tens of millions a year during downtime.

What the fuck snip, google goes DOWN?! Mind = Blown.
But really, there are a ton of examples out there (especially within the gaming community) where companies are so lackadaisical about shit like this. Im not saying riot are that stupid but im not saying they arent or are incapable of being so.
Incorporate hearthstone INTO the LoL login screen? Make that billions.
