There was a team that went 2v1 against Faker when he was on Kass and he still managed to miss very few CS (at least compared to most players). It was amazing.
That was the match where he built a mejais for sweg.

He gets a lot of exposure for his flashy plays, but watching that was the moment I thought "this guy is the real deal"
I guess you'd have to chose the lesser evil of Reginald 1v1 Faker and camp the lane so that he isn't getting destroyed and hope that he can go even. Or you could force the 1v2 but accept that Piglet/Poo will shutdown the TSM sololaner (Dyrus or Regi) harder than Turtle/Xpecial will.
inb4 Regi with his infamous lvl 2/3 aggressive ignite play and gets ganked by Bengi and lane over

Not really.
If you're jungling you try to get to 5 stacks before ganking so you have the most to work with during the gank and possibly an empowered E if needed. You want to auto before each Q to get the auto reset off without wasting a reset by getting an empowered and regular Q W is useful when teamfighting or jungling for the armor/resists, not just the damage, so you space them out to get the armor bonus for longer so you can tank more damage. (Armor and mr do not stack on Rengar) Of course Rengar's bola is an up front slow that gets weaker so you want to throw the second one, not immediately after the first, but you don't necessarily want to wait for the first to wear off before throwing the second one either because the slow becomes almost nothing for the last second making catching up to your opponent more important.
If you're jungling you should be playing energy or non-mana champs so you can donate blue without hurting yourself. This is just an advantage some junglers have that is offset by the efficiency of spirit stone. Why the hell does Lee Sin not want to spam skills?

It's hard to play against a good Rengar but it's also hard to play a good Rengar. Instead of making every melee champ easy to counter I'd rather the game just made more melees hard to deal with like Rengar. Yesterday I saw Voyboy (losing team, not fed) 1v1 a Jax as Urgot. That was just dumb.
But it's also dumb that Rengar has two abilities with a base of 150 damage. Few other champion has such shitty ability scaling. Empowered strikes are good but they're not as good as any ult in terms of damage. In order to balance Rengar they had to make the base damage on his abilities nearly the lowest in the game for melee assasins because his stealth ganks and resourcelessness were too strong. Similarly Katarina has shitty base damage on her abilities and doesn't use mana, but she needs low base damage otherwise she'd get fed and become an unstoppable pentakill machine much more often.
Yea, Rengar is not capable of being balanced. If someone who actually liked Rengar told me what is the "core" of the champion I could design him in a way to make the champ not impossible to balance. But the fact is you have to give him mana and make the passive Annie-like, and change his ultimate to not grant stealth (or if it gives stealth, it should be instant, and be for escape only).
I play a lot of Rengar and to me, the "boo-factor" is the core of Rengar and the reason why I enjoy him so much. All I want is to be able to win trades or all-ins if I get the jump on someone. I don't need to be able to 2-shot someone (as is currently the case if you get ahead) but I'd like to be confident in my ability to trade/all-in if I can get the jump on people.
That said, I don't mind if the fight goes on for longer than 2 seconds or if they make "getting the jump on someone" harder for Rengar. All I want is for everyone to feel "ohshitohshitohshit" when I come roaring out of a bush/stealth.
The problem with that is...if you go boo, you can't have good trading or dueling or burst.
There was also that game where he was 1v2'd on LB, farmed pretty much fine, and the duo couldn't stay mid any more because LB had too many levels and too much farm. And then karthus comes in against a LB on equal footing. Not good to say the least.
Ouch. Good to know it's been tried though. Since TSM most likely can't run a 2x dps properly, the only other alt. strategy I can think of for them would be a revive/'2nd chance' team with champs like karthus/zac/yorick/zilean/kayle, on the assumption that Faker will kill someone no matter what so try to make the most of it.
The match is basically a write-off, but I'll have a lot respect for them if they show up with a team-specific strategy.
Faker was on par in cs with Gragas as Kass in the game he got 2v1'd, and then he got a mejais and carried the game from midgame on. You also have to realize that you're pitting Faker in a 2v1 against Xpecial/Turtle and Regi against the 100 acre lane.
The thing about 2v1ing Faker is that he's better/more experienced at playing from 2v1 than most mids--I'm betting a lot of Korean teams have already tried dodging the 1v1 matchup against him, which consequently put a lot of 2v1 experience under his belt.
SK Telecom T1 in general are one of the best teams in the world in terms of dealing with in one-versus-two situations. Impact has probably has the best one-versus-two understanding out of the top-laners in Korea, and Piglet has gone on the record stating that he is incredibly comfortable with unorthodox lane set-ups, since he has more confidence in his team-fighting ability than his laning skills. Last, but not least, believe Faker has also mentioned that, unlike the general perception of him, his true strength kicks in once out of the laning phase.
Seems like Quantic is playing on Lvl 21 accounts, I'm gonna lol so hard if they stomp.
Yoonsup Choi @Locodoco 24m miscommunication everywhere but looks like we're gonna play with level 21 accounts, plz no circlejerk against coast or us >.<
