but in your solo q games where your team lets themselves get engaged on whenever you try to push out a side lane I would recommend to anyone to give Hydra a try, it makes him quite a bit stronger in teamfights, his spells do more damage, he gets more lifesteal and of course the incidental damage from the passive if you happen to be able to sneak an auto in.
What you see in pro games isn't always what works best in your games, all I ask is that you consider this.
I was thinking about Ionian boots + Hydra, allows you 100-0, with much higher frequency if lane phase is a bit long, and you're no longer gated by BotRK CD.

The MR aura on aegis was nerfed and the other MR items were buffed, so instead of it being OMG MUST BUY ALL THE TIME it's now more like situational buy if the enemy team is a big AoE comp otherwise get SV/Banshee.
AoE comps are still popular though, I saw a lot of lockets at the LCS playoffs.

Aegis is awful now, if you want Locket you don't sit on Aegis ever. Locket is still ok imo but it's hard to get it in a timely matter, it's not ridiculous anymore.

This is pretty random but I was wondering if there was a way to make Brusier Nid work again in top lane. I remember seeing Expression do some build with botrk but can't remember what else he got. My idea was something along the lines of chalice,botk,sv,randiuns and maybe new trinity. Reason I ask this is because I used to really enjoy top nid so wondering if she can still be played in solo q

Bruiser nid still works, there are just better picks at the moment that can do everything bruiser nid can do, except more.

I really love Iceborn Nidalee, gives her a lot of utility + good damage. I've had some good success with her, but I'm still a scrub so that doesn't mean a lot.

I'm currently having difficulty carrying as an ADC. I think it's due to my relatively weak laning phase (I out cs opponents but generally lose tower/kills). I feel like my KDA is incredibly low and am not really sure how to improve my actual laning phase of the game (my teamfighting is usually fine unless my frontline is just too far behind). I stopped playing the role entirely because I was so disappointed in my own play and was wondering how to improve. I play custom games to do benchmark cs stuff but I have a sneaking suspicion I overextend for too many creeps. I tend to play Tristana/Ashe as my main two although I tried incorporating a bit of Twitch (subsequently losing a lot).
In other words, how do I improve my overall laning as an ADC (marksman, w/e)? It's a role that when I do well I really enjoy but when I don't it just stresses me out ~.~

Without seeing your play really hard to say.But in general soloq the best style I have found is to play overagressive all the time.It actually works more often than not.

Finally, finally I have succeeded in the series and gotten to Platinum. 2 hardest carries in existence have to be Ashe and Janna, both can make enormous plays and make even the worst team play better.
As far as other adcs go, Cait seems super popular lately, Vayne's always banned, Lucien is horrible, and Graves is making a comeback. Ezreal and Corki got a buff with Triforce, though I'm not sure it's better than blue build. Even so, I feel like Ashe is the best one in solo queue atm.

Well I do play incredibly passively many games and focus on Csing over harassing... (unless on Trist in which I tend to rocket jump into things I shouldn't early game... works sometimes).

Aegis aura is MR+hp5 now, no more armour, and the self-stats have been nerfed, so even if the other MR items hadn't been buffed it wouldn't be interesting as a "selfish" item anymore, and the cases where the aura is interesting are much more limited.
Add to this that you go from the excellent build-up of Locket (it's a Kindlegem item!) to the shitty build-up of Aegis, and that you only get the shield and 10% CDR when you upgrade Aegis, at which point you've invested almost 700 more gold (which is something like 40% of the price of old-Locket, and a 35% price increase overall), delaying the shield timing for as much.
It's not that Aegis is that bad by itself, but it can't compete with anything unless your team really needs the MR aura, and the build-up is shit for a jungler, especially momentum/early-based ones who went to make efficient first buys.

All this tells me is that Meteos is in fact a god. It's also interesting to see that everything in EU happens a couple minutes later than on NA on average.
