Lately when I've been watching Doublelift's stream, he bought two B. F. Sword items straight in a row, mostly BT into IE. It made for some ridiculous crits once IE was finished, only getting Zerkers for attack speed (reminds me of Genja's marksmen builds). His reasoning was that people usually get IE pretty damn late but that this would actually be a bad idea. He then called the BT -> IE build op, but I'd take that with a grain of salt since he was duo trolling with Causter.

What are your thoughts on an ad heavy but with not so much attack speed in the first 3 or 4 items?

Sounds like a reasonable way of doing things. I guess the thought behind it is that you have a hard time using all your Atsp while your AD is used on every shot. I can see it working on someone like Cait, where you play for constant harass whenever your opponent goes for CS.
Better for quick trades, worse in sustained fights.

Used for AD casters primarily (Ashe, Varus, Graves, etc.) so you can burst people down with a single combo or trade much more efficiently.

And he's only doing it on his smurf.

I remember Genja used to do the IE/BT as first two items thing on Ezreal like every game in one tournament some time back. What carries were Doublelift doing that build on? When Chaox played Graves during S2 he used builds like that too for a short period of time.

So I duo with my brother, I'm level 23 and he's silver. Our team is a mix of bronze, silver and gold and their team is 4 platinums and a diamond.

Just how high does matchmaking rate duo-queue advantage?

Well I duo'd with gold on my smurf when he was ~20, and we were playing the very top of the normal q ladder(Primarily D1/D2. Ehomda and all the other normalQ heroes). Needless to say, after waiting in like 5 minute q's only to get an impossible to win game is rather frustrating.

i've seen double do it on graves in scrims against us (but i feel like that's not unstandard on graves)
i think he did it on draven in week 2 or 4 of LCS too? i'm not 100% sure on that but i feel like he went IE BT or vice versa that game

It's normal.If someone is platinum ranked doesn't mean he has high mmr in normal.He might not play normals.

IE has a tough build time though. If you go BT into IE you're not gonna be as strong near the 20-30 minute mark as you could be with say.. a BT into PD. PD has a lot of great stats on it too, and IE is more beneficial with the more crit you have. Then what do you do for your 3rd item? By this time you usually need armor pen so you have to go last whisper. But then this delays your PD which gives a huge boost in attack speed and crit chance.

At that point I'm pretty sure that Phantom Dancer is more DPS than Last Whisper even against like 300 armor so why would you go LW?

Ahhh. I wish I was friends with high elo players that actually play ADC. I just don't understand skill in League at all. When I lose lane I have no idea why, when I win lane I have no idea why. It just happens.

I know. When I win it's because my opponent sucks. When I lose it's because I suck. Just like it used to be in BroodWar. Winning or losing gets determined by who fucks up the most.

No it wasn't, IE doesn't fit in o_O Crits only apply for basic attacks.. Then you'd go BT LW or BT BT LW or something with a cleaver

I was watching Snoopeh stream a couple days ago and he said that he no longer gets aegis/locket on any of his junglers. Is this because the item is just not worth it now, or is it just a change in the meta and supports are meant to get it?
