Next Playday: channel OffWithTeemosHead, Oct 5th, 8 PM CET Games start at 8PM, please show up on Teamspeak a bit before. |
I agree that Aatrox falling behind was a very large part of this game, I think Viktor's potential to make a gank work is a lot lower due to no real offensive control (like Oriana's ult, or a simple throwable stun) then Oriana, and certainly with Aatrox as a ball delivery that could've been devastating.
As it went on now, Once Vik's a bit ahead his damage is pretty spiky and with little threat from an underlevelled Aatrox that meant free reign in early teamfights, which I think snowballed the rest a bit. I still thought that Orianna's poking in the later fights was really good, and because of our hesitance even meant we had to back off out of some fights having taken a lot of damage from it, but in the end the early lead was just too big.
As for the structure of the evening, while I agree it was a bit messy due to the servers acting up I still think it went relatively smoothe once we were all there, and while a bit more tutoring could be done, as we were with almost exclusively gold and silvers this time that would always be difficult, and I personally got some good advice from Lavoinoz (i think?) on my support play in lane. Looking forward to more! I'll log on to the TL LoL server some more when I'm online, I'm pretty much always up for games be it normal, ranked or custom =) (nickname: ThatOneFatGuy)

After Aatrox fend off Sejuani with great success, this was basically a free first blood, which by some magic of our terrible execution became 2 kills for you guys. Then Aatrox was a bit too behind to be there for Orianna against Viktor when the latter got a good power spike, Sejuani got tanky while Aatrox tried to finish his BorK, I couldn't farm efficiently and we fucked our team this way. Yeah, botlane couldve gotten a couple of kills early on, but they definitely didn't lose us the game, Trist and Zyra were pretty damn useful in teamfights !
I agree totally. The dive not only gave kills, but also cost so much time and lost the Aatrox passive, which makes him relatively weak in ganks. Viktor and Sejuani started controlling the game from that point and eventually showed up bot so we got the tower and dragon control too. We then pretty much rolled over objectives being grouped up and so far ahead (even though Orianna poke made us back once or twice).
The only thing I would suggest in these kinds of situations is to try trading objectives. You tried to steal/contest dragon when there was little chance to get it and could have used the time to push top or mid I think.

- One particular point about Europe being Europe as opposed to NA : English is not the native language of most of us, and it definitely can be a bit difficult to focus hardcore on your play when you have to speak in another language. Even though I lived quite a long time in English-speaking countries, I myself found it very hard to play to the best of my ability while chatting in English with my mates. I do feel this will get better over time, as 1) we get to know each other better and recognize our voices, and 2) practice makes perfect, and chatting in English will become a second nature very quickly if we do this on a regular basis.
I had trouble recognising the voices tbh. I recognised your voice because you have a french accent and doctobeat's voice because he has a dutch one :p. Maybe that will improve if we play more often.

You did well botlane overall, so I have little to say about it. As you already noticed your backing was a bit off; - you sometimes missed the right timing to back simultaneously. That created a situation that Trist stayed too long in the lane and had a vamp scepter vs cutlass on vayne.
I also think you could have played a bit more offensive in the early levels. Trist/Zyra has huge damage potential lvl 2-4 in comparison to Vayne/Lulu, so maybe there could have been a chance to all-in there. If I remember correctly you had exhaust and not ignite, which I think is a mistake vs Teemo/Viktor/Vayne. We had no damage dealing diver that could be or needs to be exhausted in a teamfight and you can abuse the stronger early game with ignite a bit easier. With ignite some of those low hp escapes of ours may have been kills. Still I think you did well, these are just little things that could swing the lane a bit more into your favor. ty Prog. I had put little tought on ignite vs exhaust tbh, but that won't happen again.

These are the things us spectators noticed aswell: the lvl 4 dive, the viktor spiking, the passive botlanes. One more very big mistake I wanted to notice by Orianna was that he didn't have to help Aatrox at the wolf camp because Viktor cut her off. I know he may not have known that because vision, but Ori herself was already extremely low and the laserburst (being very surprising in damage and range and width) caught her and then the demon died from Sej (I think? Not too sure about that one..) Sometimes, even though you want to be a good teammate and help your mates escape by throwing a ball on them and speedbuffed them, it's better to just let them take on for the team. I also want to commend the Teemo kite greatly when he was being chased by Renekton and Aatrox top, surviving long enough for Viktor and Sejuani to clean up (Orianna showed up too I think?). That shit was bonkers.

I was the Sejuani in that game. I'll just describe the game from my perspective. I did blue-red-top, assuming Aatrox did red-blue-top, but then I didn't see Aatrox at all when I was top, while Teemo went aggro on Renek so I thought Aatrox wasn't top. Turned out he was and I had to blow flash. Then I backed and did golems assuming Aatrox would stick around top because I hoped he would be stupid LoveLin a man and dive with his passive. He did, just a little bit earlier than I expected so that was just our Teemo being good. Then I was ahead of the Aatrox and wanted to abuse Viktor's early-midgame skirmish power to snowball mid and top. I was a little bit too aggresive while doing that which almost cost me my life a couple times. Also I didn't communicate well at all during that period.
Our Viktor was a god so it all worked out in the end, but still.
Also as a general tip I don't think it is a good idea to towerdive 2v1 against someone with all summoners up, especially at level 3/4.
I also watched botlane a bit and I think you could have abused Trist E cooldown way harder. I play both Vayne and Trist myself and at level 1/2 the lane should be heavily in favor of Vayne imo, because of the relatively short cd on Vayne Q compared to Trist E. Basically as soon as Trist uses her E and Zyra misses/doesn't have E you can just chunk them hard, both as Lulu or as Vayne.
Btw Lulu played really well, Vayne could have been a bit more aggresive I think. Viktor was pretty good or just really lucky, and Teemo had some nice kiting.
Aatrox went wayyyyy too deep in several fights after he got behind, he just got blown up without doing much, as said going tanky would have been better, and if you don't go tanky don't go into fights as the first man. I didn't see a whole lot of Ori's laning phase but I think that after laning phase (s)he did have the right idea, but (s)he was just too behind. Renek was fine I think? Didn't see much of their botlane.

Yeah I felt a bit stupid after that (ori here,) I thought aatrox was going to die at wraiths if I didn't help, so I wanted to try and slow the guy chasing him by throwing ball over the wall, ulting, then walking away again. I'm not sure if I thought they didn't have vision around the corner, or if I thought I could just tank the laser but either way it was kind of dumb :p
The game from my perspective, I'm not a very good ori player at all, only bought her a few weeks ago and have barely played her, so I probably made tons of misplays with positioning/ball use. It felt like i was doing fine in lane, trading evenly and stuff, until that clusterfuck top. I went top because a fight was going on, somehow teemo escapes with 5 hp then victor got a double kill, and after that I was laning against a 2-0 victor who had a 2 level lead, and my lane was screwed after that.
I just tried to farm as much as possible but he was able to use the lead to deny me off a bunch of waves, then the death wraith camp happened and I was sort of done. I tried to farm a bit of ap and poke a bit in teamfights but i was kind of useless after that.

We can all agree that everything that was ever bad for us in this game has one cause : TEEMO.
Kill the fucking Teemo.

Nigga don't make me come to EUW and show you what the Teemo is all about.

Nigga, I'm not sure playing Teemo on 200 ping is the best idea you ever had
