It's pretty nice to have the choice to shut them down by ganking them to stop them from getting out of hand. I don't actually dislike this, but I'm putting up this pure conjecture that may or may not be why Riot hasn't done it. | ||

+ Show Spoiler + ![]() 5 camps (2 that spawn super slowly) is not enough to sustain an interesting jungle, and one of the main camps is too close to midlane to punish people farming there. But, even if they increased jungle farm substantially it wouldn't matter, junglers start the game 300g behind, and because the jungle sucks to farm, and dragon is important, realistically they have to "invest" 700g into items that are not good for the rest of the game. | ||

I mean you could try and shut him down in the Jungle but I feel like that requires a certain level of coordination not seen in soloq. | ||

If one team has a jungler who never ganks but is going to reach a really scary late game if you don't shut him down, and the other team has a jungler who ganks, the impetus is on the team with the ganking jungler to get shit done. What it would do IMO is make it so more varied team compositions are allowable. But again, just my opinion. | ||

Lategame a lot of the junglers rely a lot more on utility than damage. I actually don't think adding camps to the jungle will affect the strength of stuff like J4/Xin who will most likely still being spending a lot of time just sitting around lanes( I know on those two, for the first 10 minutes of the game I mostly just take wraiths/wolves and then just walk back and forth between lanes. Ideal balance would be to add enough allow stuff like skarner and WW to hit 6 a minute or so faster, while also not having so much farm that a tryndamere can sit in jungle, have his team lose all outers by 20 minutes and still win because he's been farming everything and comes out to 3 shot all your squishies. | ||
