Eh, he's picked situationally more based on your own teamcomp than the enemy teamcomp. Pillar enables poke so hard. Have fun dodging Javelins or Light Bindings when someone's hitting you with a long range non-skillshot slow which cuts off an escape path. Have fun hard-engaging onto the poke team when someone throws a giant dick in your face. Trundle has always been a poke comp enabler.

Having really strong conditional advantages will only make it worse. Depending on the balance either the character is breaking the game when the condition is met or the character's only real use is when the condition is met. Since the former, well, breaks the game, the character ends up being situational because of the latter.
I mean that's is a big generalization but even if they kept it they'd have to nerf the ultimate for balance sake to the point where it'd be really weak on champions. If the old flat damage ult on baron was deemed too OP because of resist reduction alone IDK how this version can avoid the same fate even if they cap the damage vs monsters.

All Fizz I've seen recently go for Ignite/Barrier, they still used Flash instead a few weeks ago. Did somebody popularise a new all-in or something?

Yep. Red pot+full flat AP+30 offense tree+hybrid pen, taking not trollpole level 1/2. One of the strongest allin's in the game, but if jungler recognizes it the fizz shouldn't hit level 3 to get trollpole in any reasonable amount of time.

tabzz(most known fizz player) used heal/ignite on fizz since forever and people copied him, now barrier is the new thing to use instead of heal teleport is also great option

Her laning is ridiculously good. Like, so abusive.
Athene's is almost completely mandatory IMO. She's pretty mana hungry (at least the way I spam spells). I have been running armor yellows instead of mana regen though.
Her biggest downside is that she feels incredibly squishy coming out of lane. I think I'm going to adopt just building the tankier Mage items. Chalice + Zhonya + Abyssal, maybe rylai? I like grabbing an early DRing after chalice. A DCap can definitely be thrown in there are some point too I think.
Her mantra E is completely bonkers. Locket + Shurelia + damage on a very short cool down (40% CDR makes mantra super easy to acquire). Even just normal E on an initiator is really great.
Q and/or mantra Q are amazing for kiting. That in conjunction with normal or Mantra W make kiting so easy and fun.

I don't understand why they didn't just make a new champion instead of doing a trundle rework. Have the king from Trundle's tribe do they same stupid sacrifice to keep his tribe to be alive without the curse, but it freezes them or something.
Then he could have a grudge against Trundle similar to graves/tf or khazix/rengar etc.
They'd need a new kit, but hearing the new voice just makes me miss Trundle's old personality so bad.

As much as I don't want to dredge up this discussion again, I don't feel like she has huge carrying capacity though. Because she turns into that support/AP role later, solo queue is kind of rough when your team doesn't take advantage of your huge shields and slows. Isn't Akali or Kha who can just jump in and wreck everything.
