They could remove the imbalance just by altering the jungle so that there's two double golem camps, one on each side. Then everybody would be able to abuse it equally.

Would take a little bit of remodelling of the jungle but it'd be k.

As a consolation prize, the side of the lane opposite the double golems is harder to gank. Not much of a consolation prize though.

I think this is what they should do. Point-symmetry is kind of stupid anyway. It's just a relic from dota.

And having the whole top side of the map pretty much completely irrelevant throughout the game, except for both blue buffs which would probably go to toplaners who have to solo them because noone can afford to lose the map presence on the bot half of the map at any point.

I find it interesting that both sides require different strategies and different playstyles. Yes, bans and picks already kind of do that, but having something above even them is I think interesting and fun. I personally don't find that imbalance too difficult to overcome.

I don't see how it could start an argument. Riot released numbers awhile back and acknowledged that blue side has an advantage and that match making copes with this by giving the team favored to win purple side.

You can't argue something that Riot admits to.

Blue might be favored less now, because purple laneswaps like 80% of the time because they don't want to instalose botlane.

Replace baron with another dragon, stick baron in Mid and have him one-shot creeps and use the gold he gets to buy items according to a typical ADC build + a qss which he uses so fast he'll cleanse your smite.

The LoL side imbalance is more on the order of the random starting spot where you can't wall-off properly without exposing your addons as terran

Or the BW maps where the gas positions was not mirrored at mains (because top side gas mined more efficiently than bot side gas)

EDIT: Though I think making double golems spawn at 1:55 would be an overall good move.

Also, an interesting question would be how much of that imbalance is actually based on the map, and how much is just that the same side always has firstpick. As someone else already stated the last time we had this discussion, one side should pick the side they are on, and the other picks if they are firstpick or not, this way possible imbalances get reduced instead of amplified.

So is having to choose between a bad 2v2 lvl2/1 engagement vs. a laneswap. If you are blue team you can pick whatever botlane you want vs. purple has to decide all those other things while considering the ramifications of a lvl2 all in etc.

If you are purple, and want to go Kog+Janna how exactly are you going to execute that?

I think i've developed a problem where I try to play with my RL friends who play support, but ive gotten so used to 2.2K + supports in arranged play that i want to rip my eyeballs out when my RL friend support lol.

Also the more I think of Quinn, i'm both excited and scared. Her ult could easily turn into a bait for your adc to dive in, do dps, and instantly die LOL. I look forward to many Quinns just dying.

I'm of the mindset that whenever a certain lane dies to every gank, that lanes loses the privilege to receive any help from jungler for the rest of the game. One of the most annoying complaints I hear is when people say, enemy jungler has come x times and my jungler hasn't come yet, as if this game is soccer or something and a score is being kept.

The mineral patch is obviously bigger. I was just trying to say that basically, what you answered was true. The 1stpick/2nd pick problem might change it in some cases, because it does feel like sometimes purple not only doesn't get 1st pick, but they "show their hand" earlier.
