You're nearly impossible to get out of lane 1v1, and nearly impossible to lock down without 3+ opponents. Infinite sustain allows him to just keep pushing really hard, drawing the team to his lane and opening up map control opportunities even in solo queue. Quality Player just pushes top over and over, drawing as much of the team top as possible (and usually escaping). If it remains 1v1 he simply kills his opponent with 6 sec spin, lolheal and the AD power build into his kit. He usually does ok in lane for obvious reasons.
Said it before, I'm very confident it will be nerfed at some point.
pretty sure you push faster and have more survivability with a bruiser build but you are also useful when the enemy team forces a critical fight.
also ive seen a farmed ap trynd in action and the 1v1 power you describe is exaggerated. There are tons of champions who beat him 1on1 especially if they have something to avoid a couple autoattacks during his ult.
then there are other splitpushers who can actually deal damage when they are outnumbered which trynd cannot. singed and nida for example. they are also uncatchable and again very useful in teamfights.
i played a ton of splitpush trynd some time ago and bruiser & ad stuff is what makes him win 1on1s, push fast, kill turrets fast and survive coordinated ganks without sacrificing the ability to be a useful teamfighter.

Lol I prolly checked the wrong line up XD
Yeah I was dissapointed because I was actually expecting Tabzz, Angush, Creaton and ImSoFresh, must have been a really outdated line-up, /facepalm
Honestly, if their support ( Fatmama O_O ) is decent they can probably get 4th place, will Rekkles be up for Fnatic ? Cause without him I can really see Mill pulling the upset
Also Angush vs Soaz gonna be a fun match-up top lane

AP trynd's teamfighting is fine although his split pushing is pretty ridiculous as well. I think what people don't realize is that with 40% cdr + attack speed he has almost no E cooldown, because he has base 35% crit and each crit reduces E CD by two seconds (!!). He hasn't got any burst to speak of but his sustained damage is unnaturally good. I think this is a really crazy abusive solo queue strat at the very least.
EDIT: you don't need to run cleanse if you don't want to.

Max CDR, win every team fight. You can still lose due to Dora teammates, np.

Na, you just pillar the bush before they enter it. You can travel across the map faster than them thanks to Contaminate anyway! CDR troll OP.

I faced an AP trynd today, was very frustrating, team mates kept suiciding to him untill he became unstoppale, we were up 10 kills and 4 towers, but he was 14-4 and no one could touch him X_X

On a personal note, I think those are the two sweetest team names. Just sounds cool. I believe Najin is the name of a Korean computer hardware company.

you are obv trolling since you mention magic penetration items.
what you maybe don't realize is that ppl actually play ap trynd in soloq as I mentioned and its terribly bad. ap trynd is like a weak version of nidalee. and its not fine in teamfights. its ruining your teammates games. pls stop.

On a personal note, I think those are the two sweetest team names. Just sounds cool. I believe Najin is the name of a Korean computer hardware company. NaJin Industries is a conglomerate that started off as an electronics company but has since expanded to become a holding company that owns multiple subsidiaries that operate in the consumer and household electronics and cold storage (think Pokemon BW) businesses. They've also expanded into food products, property (hotels, retail malls, parking) and logistics.
