You can also add that picking Ashe early is dangerous because of how vulnerable she is to aggression, but picking her late is almost assured to have a team lacking synergy for her (unless you pick her only when the team's environment is favorable to her, and it's not going to be that frequent).

When I played the lane, I was under the impression that Cait negated one of Ashe's strength instead (good autoattack range) and that since she can push faster than Ashe (Volley usually won't hit all creeps, has longer cd early on and lower damage later. I can't remember the supports (who make the lane etc; etc.) and I'm pretty bad at AD though.

Nope, it's because people complained you "couldn't" start cloth+5 as AP against AD mid, and that they felt AP "lacked itemisation options" (so now they gut chain vest itemisation instead, lest you want shroud/GA).
Swain's still going to get screwed top because he gets smashed by gapclosers and mobility creep has had more than a few words with him.

The only problem with Ashe is that she actually requires teamwork to pull off a good ECA. Pinging is not enough. Picking Ashe in solo queue is pure torture. No one has any sense of teamwork, so why even try it? Considering your ADC choices, she's not even the most entertaining to play.

Just food for though, Ashe's passive might not synergize amazingly well with the laning phase of an adc but it does so extremely well as a support. You'd have some amazing early game all ins with someone like Cait.

It's so hard to justify last-hitting creeps with Parley when melee Pickpocket gives the same amount of gold as rank 1 Parley. You just shoot the enemy laner on CD rather than using Parley to farm.

Everyone knows the real point of LoL is to make tons of gold! They need alternative ways to win like in Civilization, first team to 40k gold wins no matter how many towers are up.

Also, they should buff Hawkshot's bonus gold the same way they buffed Veigar/Nasus/Sion. Should give more bonus gold on champion kills.

It could actually be a legit strat lol, so much global gold, trade tower for 3 creep waves, np.
20 cs behind on all lane ? 2 towers to 0 ? 1 drake to none ? Doesn't matter 5k gold advantage.
Edit : to yango : Parley with avarice blade does give 9 bonus gold without you getting exposed, pickpockett only gives 5 and you get yourself really exposed, and there's a CD on it ( even though it's low )

It'd be a lot better if Q's non-kill cost wasn't so prohibitively big. I'd rather get points in it alongside Avarice and use it to last hit so I still have a mana pool in case I need to use any of my other abilities.

I've ran a test while playing GP bot lane ( gotta troll in normals sometimes )
Bought Philo and avarice at the same time as my supp, and avarice on GP gives much more gold if you are last hitting decently and using mainly parleys, I had something like 850 gold on avarice compared to 580 on his philo ( 175 last hit IIRC )
Numbers are approximative though, it was in S2 also, not sure if it's worth anything now l0l

Why does the presence of parrrley/loaded dice/hawkshot cause people to want to stack avarice blade on it? Avarice blade is just as good regardless of whether you have parrrley/loaded dice/hawkshot helping you or not.
The only thing I can think of is that if you only got +2 gold per kill, you might not be motivated enough to not miss last hits, whereas if you get +9 gold per kill, you're going to focus on last-hitting so much that you're getting more out of avarice blade than you normally would have.
or if people are grouping and they're like "ASHE GROUP PLS" and if you only have lv1 hawkshot you'd be like "ok" but if you have lv5 hawkshot, TF, and avarice you'd be like "nawww, money in the bank"

Except leveling Parley sucks. Remove Scurvy and Raise Morale ranks are much better.
