my friends and i ran top malphite, jungle fiddle, mid karthus, and varus/nami bot. once we all hit level 6... wow. anyone on our team could initiate she's not a good laner (mana costs on the heal are dirty, and bubble is unreliable) and she needs help to set up her stuff, so i don't think she's very good in solo q

Decision was made with casual or first time viewers in mind. Players play LoL every day for hours on end, so skins don't impact them as much. Other skins, especially new ones that provide a different set of particles from the original skin, might be confusing to some of the newer viewers. Take it with a grain of salt. It's just Riot trying to be courteous to viewers. Albeit, banning skins like Steel Legion Lux is also a no-brainer.

If I am CRS Awesomedrunkguy I've played enough league to know what everyone looks like and what champions they happen to be. However if I am Johnnynewguy tuning into LCS because some friend said 'hey league is cool go watch it' it's doubtful he's going to have any idea who that chick with robotic wings is. Or something like that..

Either they get 6 items and shred or they have 3 and get rolled. And that's just against the non-maxed bruisers. 2-3 items seems to be enough to prevent being killed by all but the strongest ADC. Wow your post really summed up exactly what I thought. I main ADC, hate playing every other role, and it feels so strange now. I either go 13 - 1, or 1 - 6. I think the closest I've had to a middle ground was a 17 - 7 game. Either you get fed in lane, and can kill bruisers, or you go even in lane, and bruisers kill you. Edit: @sobek I haven't laned against it, but my friend owns the skin, and I've played against it fairly often. I can't dodge classic Lux at all, but on this new skin everything just stands out, and it feels so easy to dodge.

I don't think they officially released a list, but I wouldn't be surprised of Piltover Customs Blitz was one of the banned skins. I would assume it's anything that is a drastic change.
