are there more people here that play a lot of normal games and have problems since the patch? My queue time quadrupled and the average skill of the people in my games went wayyyy down and with it the quality of my games. Also, i get a lot more ragers and afkers.
Althoough this looks like a whine, im really interested if this is a fluke or byproduct of the new matchmaking. I noticed that the number of wins of all players is VERY close togther now +-20. Maybe they gave the number of wins too much weight?
Im very close to start ranked games, normales not worth the time for me anymore it seems.
is millenium eclypsia? Im getting confused sometimes. I guess they are, and then they are quite scary, actually. The best...who knows, i thought koreans were unbeatable :D

Normals are weird. I only go there to test something i have not played before once before using it in ranked, and it is always weird and makes no sense, since everyone plays something semi-trolly.

actually, my games before the patch were quite decent. lots of teamwork and generally decent plays, not much trolling, only occasionally. Mostly when i get in a game with a premade. But now its like im on a lvl 10 smurf.

Queue time went up as a result of the patch, yeah.
I think Riot needs to take into account win/loss ratio and total games more than just the pure number of wins.
My two accounts have respectively around 1500 and 300 games played (yoloQ account, and the one I use to play with RL friends). I'm something like +100 on one and +20 on the other. On the other hand, I know people who have like 1k wins, but also 1.5k losses. If you're not averaging or above, say, 50% after 1k games, you're probably pretty bad.
It also becomes painfully obvious (sometimes) when there's a couple guys who are freshly minted lvl 30's, and there's another guy on their team accounting for 1k+ wins and all you do is get fed off the baddies. Well, sometimes its the 1k that's a baddie, but you get the point.

Ah, another good thing about doing the 2v1 is that you can safetly start your adc with a dorans blade instead of something+potions, since you're probably not gonna be trading much, no?

My normals are quite decent, and certainly a lot ahead of my ranked games (my skill being higher than 1250 Elo non-withstanding) in terms of ambience too. I don't get much afk-ers or leavers in ranked, but much more rage. Also, I can play AD or jungle in normaks without it ending badly everytime (AD way behind my other roles, and quite bad at ganking 6 times in 3 minutes and putting all my lanes ahead from opponent's scrubiness so I'm too reliant on teammates not having said scrubiness or I'll be fighting an uphill battle in ranked).

I think that as individual players they have a lot of potential, but I don't see them as being the best team right now, gonna have to wait and see how their teamwork develops. I could see the argument for best B-tier team behind exCLG/GG/Fnatic though.

Edit: Yeah Graves Taric wouldn't be ideal though.

Play a lot of normal 5s, and we get tryhard progamers all the time
(by which we mean we accidentally queue blind and get a team of perma bans on the othe rteam LOL)
haven't noticed any real difference in normal matchmaking..

people switch in soloqueue now?
Not even the pros understand when switch and often put themselves in a worse situation than without switch.
Lane matchup, farming cosiderations, powercurves, map control, gank protection and ganks, dragon control.... All that and probably more plays a role for switches.
Not to mention, you make the 1v2ers game a miserable experience :D

Zero expectation for you to actually do anything other than not die and try to slow how fast you lose your tower. None of that business of winning lane or anything.

Not so sure about that, there is nothing more satisfying than holding a 1v2 lane until you get level 6 (by that I mean holding your tower and getting some sort of cs, obviously you ain't going to compete in farm), if your own 1v2 lane is stomping their guy.
Double points if your Olaf and can get a double kill on them once you reach level 6 (happened to me twice, though admittedly they were pretty lax in warding so my jungler could come join the party).

There are not enough toplane champs that are good at 1v2. This is a fundamental problem in LoL right now, when if you are not Olaf you can't farm and survive. If you are Vlad/Kayle/Jayce, you can farm, but you die. If you are Shen/Malph you can survive, but not farm, but it doesnt matter. GL playing Jax, Singed, Xin, Irelia, etc 1v2 though.
