I could be wrong and I am still experimenting, but I think the issue is more on "do I want to delay my DFG/DCAP for this item", not "is this item good", because I think this item is extremely good. Mordekaiser has no CC/escapes, no gapclosers, and his range short beside his R. If you can slow your opponent with Twin Shadows you can play more aggressive and have greater zone of control. It also makes his roam a lot stronger because he can bring more than just raw damage to a gank. I originally thought it is some sort of defensive item because it is supposed to be a new support item. Frankly it doesn't help Mordekaiser much in a gank, because most junglers post-6 have some sort of gapcloser and other slowing mechanism that will catch you even if you use Twin Shadows. You also can't spam it to detect ganks because the cooldown is way too high. EDIT: I guess it can probably also work with Katarina (the effect will be somewhat similar to getting Gunblade pre-rework), but I haven't actually played her since the S3 patch. | ||

So what are people's opinions of the new frozen fist item? (sheen + glacial) It seems so good if only it didn't gave 40 AP.  ((I almost feel like it would be really strong on irelia to give her some cdr in her build in place of triforce and get her a bit tankier, but 40 ap seems meh. x_x | ||

Build zephyr, build boots of swiftness with 15+ MS upgrade, get defensive mastieries for tenacity and slow reduction, then you get randuins, TF and GA or something like that. Almost 500 MS and pretty close to immunity to cc (especially slows) + randuins slowing everyone that tries to kill you. | ||

It feels like if you had 2k extra gold than usual a lot of tanks might get this item for extra damage but most people already are trying to get -Spirit stone tank upgrade (get sorcs on amumu/maokai/even shyvana) -Locket -Sightstone -Spirit visage (if you want cdr and magic resist) -Aegis-->bulwark Since all of these items are really good for tanks to help your team except spirit visage (good on maokai though) Zephyr feels really meh when Fuhrer boots are out there now which generally provide ms when melees need it most - chasing down people. Trinity still king on irelia for damage with only 150 gold nerf and 4% ms, while AS get nerfed meaning it's definitely still king and probably so is GA. Also for all the rammus fans wriggles-->PD rammus is dead because wriggles sucks now. Long live spirit stone-->PD rammus! The lack of movement speed is easily compensated by lack of unit collision since creep blocks were the bane of chasing AD carries with rammus. | ||

And yeah, thanks teut. I agree with your assessment. The item would be so good if it didn't give so much AP imo. Or at least cost a lot less. Right now FH just looks better on everyone else still unless your name is hec and your team already has a FH. :/ and even then, 40 ap seems to be pushing it a little. Although new SV is insaneeeeely good on irelia now. 50 mr, health, and cdr + better healing. Thank you riot. | ||
