I think you'll still want to get philo because it builds into Shurs which is still going to be relevant, and the regen is still better than no regen. You can start flask and a bunch of wards instead of charm/wards/potions though, I think it's better value after a few backs.
Not to mention the price on philo is cheaper now anyway, so you can get the gp10 sooner. (700g)

Riven isnt played as much now, because you normally have really fed ad and ap. Your top is typically not as farmed because of jungler pressure, or maybe some roaming or a 1v2 lane. Your jungler tends to be extremely underfarmed as well so there isn't many people who can dive in with riven. Meanwhile, she doesn't function well in the tank role at all.

I wonder if we'll see Catalyst on tanky junglers every now and then. Pseudo-sustain via the leveling passive, and then make it an Ohmwrecker for pretty decent Armor and towerdiving prowess. Of course, not as good of an Armor option as FH/Omen, but it's a way to pretty well fuck over tower-hugging passive players.
On the other hand, by the time you get it, you might be at the point where your tanky champs can just ignore the tower anyway, leaving it with just a small window where you can start to afford it and towers are still scary.

Only 100g cheaper which just accounts for the cheaper Philo. I mean, the active still amazing but it's going to make you feel a lot more strained for resources using up a slot for that. I take back what I said about still wanting shurs.

I figured it would be more amusing to have a tryndamere with mercurial scimitar and his support with Crucible, ult and get away with ease every time hue hue.

Ranked is really messed up right now. I'm struggling to get out of the 1050-1100ish range and there are Gold ranked and Silver ranked Season 2 players on the enemy teams. I even had a Gold on my team. Hopefully things will settle down in a week or so.

Is she worth picking up? Shes The type of support you will want with Mele adc's instead of ranged adcs. The rock (j4) and roll (nami) conection is the most amazing thing you've ever seen. Its been really quiet but I'd expect that riot made nami to make mele adc's viable.
I don't really see what in her kit makes melee adc's more viable. I understand the Jarven thing because you can chain the CC, but there's nothing about her that makes a Fiora or Master Yi any stronger as an ADC. For ranged ADs she provides the same stun and heal as well as a slow that can be proced at range.

Three minutes, same as a summoner spell but 100% worth it. I'm slightly worried about the return of the 4 support one teamcomp again with nunu top, soraka mid, maokai jungle, lulu support, high damage ADC. ADC runs cleanse/flash, support runs heal/flash + crucible and then you wind up with an AD that doesn't die and also has an absurd amount of tankiness.

Ohmwrecker looks to be a snowball item. The baseline cost-effectiveness isn't that good and the active does nothing in jungle or defensive fights. It makes it harder for the enemy to defend towers but is useless when you're defending.
Also, junglers don't finish 3k gold items during the laning phase, so the question of how good it is during ganks is irrelevant.

You overestimate people's skill based on previous elo.Most of my games at 1700/1800 silver players beat plats/diamonds in lane no junglers lol.Funny thing is you can even tell they are silver based on items and how they play so makes it even weirder :D.Of course there are those gold vaynes who q INTO graves or silver corkis who w and flash to chase and complain you didn't exhaust someone who appeared next to them....But what you gonna do  .
