The biggest thing holding it back are that things like summoners, runes, masteries, items, etc. are all balanced around SR. Which of course it has to be at the moment, but it isn't the concept at fault, it is the fact that it is tied to SR balancing. Anyway, I hope they are able to rework all those pieces someday and have a ranked ladder. Obviously the champ abilities have to be the same across the two, but that really isn't dom's biggest problem anyway. | ||

Dominion has a lot of room for great competitive play, imo, but without matchmaking it'll never go anywhere. Ranked plz riot | ||

They are all balanced for SR. And it just doesn't work like that in Dominion. Just look at Rammus. They should change problematic skills (it's really mostly single skills in a kit, like Rammus' Q) to have different numbers/functions in Dominion and SR. Riot should look into that anyways, if they are ever gonna release magma chamber, but that's a different topic. | ||
