I just run my nunu page on Teemo (splitPen/armor/mres/AP) with 21/0/9 and chunk them back with QautoGTFO. AP Teemo carries VERY VERY hard with a patient team because no matter how far ahead the opponents are, eventually they will get impatient and dive through a mushroom field and then you win.

Teemo vs TF is probably the most fun. Ask your jungler to clear out wards along the wraith and banana bushes and then just put down shrooms along the paths that TF usually walks to to start an ult gank.

Damnit. I'd play Teemo too if global taunt didn't hit me and make me want to execute myself.

I've noticed he falls off fairly hard later though, especially if you end up not fighting in shrooms.
At least there's one way to kill that fucking badger

I learned awhile ago that I can make almost any champion an AP carry by building DFG+Lichbane on them. I think that E scales decently into late game too on Teemo and his blind is still really useful in team fights.

ive only been playing ap teemo top/mid whenever i didnt get ad ezreal or when we had one of those glorious premade botlanes, nothing feels better than having little minefields around the map that deal ~ 1000dmg or if I just based, decide to run to a lane t splitpush and they decide to fight 4v4 somewhere my team dies and they got 2-3 low and suddenly i get triple kill from across the map bc they walk through 1k dmg shrooms hahaha
I run 19/11/0 though since I agree with WickD that indomitable is an op mastery especially in harder lanes where u trade alot.

It is strong. Strong enough that I forced a Singed (lol that was a silly fun lane, btw) to go double Negatron because I'd chunk him every time he tried to farm and Jungle Ali tried to camp through a minefield. Still lost, though, couldn't carry enough.
I think his biggest issue that I've seen lategame is that he has (in my opinion) issues teamfighting. Range is good, but not long enough to ignore a tank line, not sneaky enough to bypass them, and he can't do much against the front line except poke and kite. He's not diving past to the back and killing the squishies, he's not softening the tanks, and he's not doing Brand or Ziggs AoE damage to help the team, so I don't think he contributes as much to team fights as other AP characters can. Could be my badness, though.

I might even try 9/21/0 tbh, the offensive AP stuff is kinda meh.

If it were possible (such as wc3/sc2), most of the time supports would choose to transfer the gold they have to carries. I don't agree with this though. It's a misconceived mentality that plagued DotA for years, until people finally figured out that support itemization is just as important as carry itemization. The carry needs more items to perform his role, but that doesn't make his item timings any stronger--you still want to line them up.
On September 25 2012 04:22 azndsh wrote: 2) gp10s give inferior stats, and item strength is multiplicative. getting PD + IE on two separate champs isn't nearly as effective as getting both on the same. Multiplicative scaling only kicks in hard lategame though. With this huge trend toward midgame teamfighting carry selection, a lot of the relevant fighting occurs before multiplicative scaling really kicks in as an argument for stacking farm on carries (e.g. Ezzy or Corki fighting with just a Triforce). The high overall flat stat-gains of aura items can certainly outweigh that benefit throughout the midgame.
In a metagame dominated by 4+1 teamcomps like we had some time ago, I would agree, but 4+1 is hardly common anymore.

Why Lichbane on teemo? His E hits for 300 late game, you only gain a 600 physical damage bonus from lichbane, which doesn't scale with void staff whatsoever. You will be better off getting a Nashor's Tooth for a significant more sustainable damage in team fights.
|
Oh wow nashors. Been a while since I've seen that one. It's a real steamer.
|
MBR better than Nashor's
|
huh? Nashor's is great on AP Teemo if you can't get blue buff (in other words you went top with him). but that being said, in games with like 3-4 squishies on the opposing team, having the up-front burst from lichbane is incredible. I've been seeing a lot of bruiserless teams recently and against them, being able to 3 shot someone with DFG -> Q -> Lichproc is incredibly valuable.
