I mean why would you imagine stuff and try to act it out in real life when computer is way more cool and vivid than imagination. Because instead of "press x for quicktime event" or "use built-in mechanic to sneak past a guard", you can think of a million different ways to solve a problem. I made my party do a museum heist in our last campaign, I just set up patrols, defenses, and patrons and waited to see how they dealt with it. Fun session. I feel like more and more of the champion preview videos are Phreak giving general gameplay tips than talking about the champs. I mean, yeah it's nice for new players I guess, but I don't want half of the Rengar video explaining why ganking when the enemy is pushed is a good idea, or why it's better to focus Corki over Leona :\

Not quite the same as sitting around a table with books and dice, but it can be fun.

I had friends that played a marvel themed D&D for a couple months, it was super fun, but the GM just didn't have time and I don't blame him, lot of work.

I've never played and always thought it was interesting (my mind is absolutely in love with fantasy setting/roleplay) Internet helps with that, basically everywhere there are some RP groups that are rather open to newcomers. For example, i found a pretty nice group where each month there are several different oneshots that are open to everyone who wants to play here, no knowledge of anything required. I'd really recommend looking into it if you find the thought interesting. It has been my experience that if you like the idea, you also like the actual game. Worst case scenario you lose one afternoon. Sadly, DnD is the most popular system in most areas, and has a tendency to be overly complex and devolve into powergaming for a lot of people, so it is not really what i would suggest for someone without any knowledge of PnP at all, but it is still ok if you play with the right people.

Playing a computer game has its limits, set by its creators, while the imagination has none. When you dream there are no rules, people can fly, anything can happen. Sometimes there is a moment as you are awakening when you become aware of the real world around you, but you are still dreaming. You may think you can fly but you do better not try...

It's pretty surprising how many otherwise good players lack simple knowledge of champion mechanics *coughGandhicough*.

"yoyoyo soniv, wtf does lulu do" (3 months after lulu's release) And I realize there are probably online communities that I could get into, but I would like to, at some point, experience table top with a group of friends IRL

I was so weird going into it the first session, but after a while you really get into it. I wonder what classes I'd make out of the LoL champions... Diamond Mind Warblade for Fiora, probably. Or maybe they'd work better in a Unisystem.

Look, back when I played, it was just classes. Core classes wasn't a thing. You were a Fighter, a Ranger, a Paladin, a Cleric, a Druid, a Thief, a Bard, a Wizard, or an Illusionist. Period. We also had to walk uphill both ways to and from the dungeon. In the snow. And we didn't complain.

His lvl 1 true dmg > your Q You start regrowth pendant and just keep taking lasthits while you take E harrass, you also should harrass back with Q. After he uses E once you should snatch every lasthit possible then go back to biding your time for the while, and then practically repeat.. You never want to let him E you for free. You will likely need to farm at the tower so get used to it. You'll more than likely lose in lasthits but shouldn't die if you are careful and your lategame's much more powerful. If Olaf wants to out-sustain you properly he's going to be the one pushing and if your team knows what's going on(That poppy vs olaf is a tough matchup but poppy is stronger late), it'd be very helpful if either the mid or the jungler ganked the Olaf a few times because he's a rather easy gank. Difficult to explain, that's been my experience with the matchup... It's not as hard as people make it seem but it's still a very unfavorable one
