meh. mana pots are still gonna suck in 95% of situations. better mana management is sufficient for majority of cases and in the situations where proper mana management isn't sufficient (kog/swain cases of extended spell use) then you're going to have blue buff and mana pots wouldn't help either way.

Apparently Rammus' taunt at lvl 1 is only 0.5 seconds now. I learned that the hard way when I tried to tower dive a riven at 100 hp and still died. Sad day. =(

Remember how blue was nerfed and suddenly Anivia got popular (OP?) again? I wouldn't care too much about mana changes until you can actually see if it is an issue or not.

Yo I saved up 6500+ IP and I'm wondering whether to buy Darius or Renekton? I'm looking for a strong top lane bruiser with tanky dps potential and maybe sometimes jungling, kinda like Olaf or WW. I've heard only amazing things about Renekton but I've played lots of Darius free week and he's just a beast.

cant really jungle renekton and it be effective, can jungle darius a bit better.

If its the choice between those 2 depends if you really just want a pub stomper or a really solid,all purpose top laner.
Personally I hate Darius and I don't think he is as good as people cry and he is probably going to get nerfed because of the QQ even more,Renekton is a really really good pick right now.
He's like the old Irelia,he has some bad matchups but you can force renekton to work(and win!) against any lane if you know how to play him right.I'd go with him personally.
Oh yea jungle renek is pretty bad as far as I know,but Darius isn't the shining beacon of the jungle either.If your dead set on it you can make it work but both are just top laners and pretty bad in the jungle imo.

AP Kog requires better control and is less spammy now. It'll probably lose fotm but still be pretty good.

i dunno, i thought the same thing (basically that renek's jungle was too slow), but the two times i saw it last month, it was not only quite fast (was on par with a noct, and i can't remember the other game too well), but strong ganks and whatnot. No clue what setup they had, but it made me think twice about how good jungle renek might be.

Well this is wrong, there's certain situations where mana pots are going to save the day in the most efficient way possible.
For example let's take Warwick vs Olaf. WW is fine as long as he has enough mana but gets harrassed off the lane when he runs out of it. From my experience he wins the trades slightly before running out of mana but afterwards he's going to just have to base. Now, you could buy doran rings to deal with the mana issue but an easier way is to just buy 1 or 2 mana pots, giving you the upper hand and possibly even forcing your opponent off the lane.
Another obvious one is Pantheon. Many times Pantheon will dominate until he runs out of mana, in many cases this will even be in a situation when he'd just need like 2 more spears to force the opponent off the lane. You can either build some expensive mana regen or spend 40 gold on the potion, force your opponent off the lane, make tower kill like 10 minions as they back, and you traded 40 gold into 10 minions and come out way ahead.
"Mana management" is very silly if your plan is to force someone off the lane, they'll just regen if you "manage" your mana.

I tried it just now (bought Renek yay ^^) and even though we lost, I felt his jungle clear times were really really good, especially after Madred's/Wriggles. Fury'd W has a 3 times chance to proc Wriggles, buff monsters fall really fast and Q is amazing for clearing out low level creeps. E is pretty good mobility as well.
Pretty leash/HPot dependant 1-3 though, I'll try opening with a Vampiric or Regen+1Pot and see if that solves his early sustain issues.

I would never fury W, animation locks you for way too long, I think youd have more DPS right clicking, fury Q imo way better. Normal Ws are fine but I hate fury W

Yeah because you get one extra attack off during the animation anyway and the stun doesn't matter, you're also losing out on a furied Q.
