i just did it recently, had most success going for bruiser items. and then transitioning into IE/BT
so i got merc treads hexdrinker brutalizer phage wriggles and then IE BT.
Sounds a lot like how I build Lee Sin when I'm brave. Except for the late wriggled, what's the point of that?
that wasn't the order in which i bought, just the items i bought in groups.
sorry i got all the mid game items, then tried for the late game AD items.
In actuality i got boots +3 then brutalize > wriggles >phage > hexdrinker > Merc
but i was laning predominantly vs physical damage characters top and very little magic was being done.
I know from playing draven a lot bot lane that if you step out of position for an instant, you are likely going to be punished and possibly killed, so i was trying to minimize that possibility by using Q to cause alot of damage over time to keep them from getting close.
Sounds like a build my friend does on his Vayne and it does just as much damage as a typical IE,PD,LW does and makes you really fucking bulky
its: Dorans->Zerks->Phage->Vamp Scepter->Wits End->Hexdrinker Upgrade Phage into Frozen Mallet, Sell Dorans for Ionic Spark, Upgrade Vamp Scepter into Bloodthirster, Upgrade Hexdrinker for Maw of Mortilius, then finally sell Zerks for Mercs if they have a lot of CC. Gives you around 2.8k HP~,2.0 AS, +150 MR and is great on Vayne because all she needs is attack speed to deal damage
Really interested in trying this, the only thing I don't like is the ionic spark. Never been fond of that item. Any other possible alternatives to that?
Bloodrazor is core to that style, really can't comprehend him not getting it.
Btw the DPS is like half of a normal build so what he says is rather false.
Ionic can be replaced with Bloodrazer but that alone is 2k more gold which is hard to get becasue the build is already very gold heavy
I meant to say "it almost* does as much damage as a standard build", you sacrifice a little damage for a lot of survivability(HP, MR, CCreduction, 400 HP health spell shield)

Dude it is perfectly reasonable for Tanks with 200+ armor and 4k HP to die to uncontested baron's.
i'd accept that bug for 2 months if it means they'd fix the crashing and dc's today.
The baron bug is really dumb, but I was also wondering if they're gonna fix the maokai root/leesin q bugs if they weren't already along with other champion specific bugs. I haven't been getting any crashes/dcs though.

You sacrifice a lot of damage for a little survivability, actually. These kinds of builds don't scale nearly as well as IE PD LW builds; they fall behind rapidly after the first 4-6k gold. And because you should have positioning and a team to rely on for surviving, that extra survivabilty goes to waste.

It seems that now he is almost exactly like Nidalee as far as the setup goes (R is a transformation skill; his non-ultimate abilities have two different versions on each button depending on his form). His actual kit is a bit different, of course, but seems a little underwhelming to me ;(

If my time playing WoW has taught me anything, it's to just deal with broken shit until it's fixed or a time that it's considered "working as intended".
On Nasus, and Voli. I've beaten quite a few in lane before. The lack of gap closers means that you can just Q and run away and return damage when they run back. It's mana costly so you do have to go back some times. I don't think I've ever lost lane to either of these two but kayle is a pretty safe top. If I make a mistake, then voli can flip me and do some damage (not enough for a kill), and nasus can... Q me once. I'm a pretty paranoid warder and I'm low elo so junglers don't really do much on either side.
Nasus can just max E and he can farm similarly to how morgana farms. He loses some damage on his Q, but I feel like nasus is much faster at farming Q midgame than he is early on so he can catch up but at the cost of being absent during midgame teamfights. He has a lower CD and higher mana regen midgame for Q farming.

If you get terrible teams 10 times in a row you need to whine about it constantly and soon you will go on a 10 game win streak with awesome teams. Speaking from experience. There's always going to be some bad streaks.
(However if you keep losing it might be because you're bad and not because of luck)

i have yet to play 10 minutes without crashing.
Man I feel for you. I've had three crashes in two days and that is frustrating enough.
If Riot continues to fuck up the client their fanbase will go down a lot quicker than they think, especially if these problems are still around when DOTA2 is out.
