Many of the users in the TL LoL subforum have been playing as friends for over a year now, so it makes logical sense that they would want to play other games together. I'm not talking about those people who pick rikimaru and have 50cs at 40min or those 45min battle fury PAs either but I think that carry players deserve a lot of respect(if they do it properly) | ||

To get your own profile URL go to Steam > Steam Settings > Interface > Check box the setting to show URL when available > go to Community in Steam > Profile > copy paste URL in the top of the screen. Also just noticed your in Europe, can you play on USE because I can't play on Europe? | ||

Playing carry is a pretty big sacrifice in my opinion. I probably wouldn't be wrong to assume that most people have a lot more fun ganking and moving around the map than worrying about optimizing their farm perfectly for ~30+ minutes in a row, just to help their team win later on. I'm not talking about those people who pick rikimaru and have 50cs at 40min or those 45min battle fury PAs either but I think that carry players deserve a lot of respect(if they do it properly) I love playing carry but playing carry in dota is even worse then in league in solo q/pubs you are way more reliant for your team to give you time when at the meantime if you would be a ganker/midlaner you would have way more impact ) : | ||

Every minute, you can stack a new set of ancients. That's 200+ gold every single time that you don't get if you don't stack the ancients. A minute you miss a stack is potentially a kill's worth of gold. | ||

If you're on the Radiant side, would it be the jungler, or if you're running 2/1/2, the toplane support? Also, anyone have any tips/&c for Venomancer? Veno is a counterpushing/pushing support and he's one of the best level 1s...almost always you'd take venomous gale at level 1 and then your skilling afterward depends highly on what you want to do. If you want to push/counterpush max wards first, and consider putting one point into poison sting and then early points into stats so that you have more mana and HP to stay in lane and push/survive longer. If you want to exclusively kill people then split points among gale and sting for more damage. As for items you're usually concerned with getting obs wards (check out common ward spots: usually on runes, enemy jungle, etc), start with some regen (tangoes+salve+possibly a clarity or 2) and then some branches, buy the courier, etc. Standard support start basically. Then you want to consider getting a mekanism and arcane boots once you get the money, after that everything is luxury (if you get to that point as a support you've probably already won) As for stacking usually in pubs the carry himself will stack (like with helm of the dominator). In addition Beastmaster hard lane will stack with axes, as will sometimes a tinker. However if you want to be a super support then you can stack the ancients for your carry. As veno you can actually kill the ancients with wards by pulling them away from the camp and spamming wards at the spot where the ancients turn around to go back into the camp. It's a pretty good way to catch up on gold and experience if you want to leave your carry in the lane to farm for himself (only do so if he's fed or seems to be getting along fine alone) | ||

I ALWAYS open gale at level 1, the 15s 50% slow is huge and a landed gale is a guarenteed kill. I only pick up arcanes if no one else is getting them OR there is a Quas/Wex invoker on the other team. I much prefer treads for the added survivability. Go mek if no one else is working that direction, otherwise work on cheap, cost efficient mid game items and try to keep observer wards up. I tend to look for things like drums, ghost scepter, force staff, medalion, eul's as my luxury items Use plague wards to block pull camps if they keep dewarding you. They can also be put on high ground and open areas as a scout to help prevent dangerous situations. Try lining them up in front of a tower to reduce the surface area creeps/melee heroes have to auto attack. You can also block some paths to create narrow chokes on high ground as well. As stated above, you can use wards to kill ancients, and have the ancients leash back to prevent from killing too many wards. as a cute trick you can solo roshan at level 7 by putting up 5 wards or so before pulling, medalion makes this much easier. | ||
