Even if they made baron stronger either with it doing more damage or making it harder to take down, the strength of the buff is still so high that there's really no reason for a team to do anything but camp baron lategame. this also makes champions with teleport/teleportation skills like shen/tf/pantheon ridiculously hard to deal with since they can just push the opposite side of the map, while the defending team has no choice but to either give up baron or let them splitpush. Ehh, if they made killing Baron slow enough, it would allow teams to make plays on other map objectives while still being able to get to Baron in time if the other team attempts it. Still ultimately Baron-centric play, but it at least allows other shit to get done.

The more I think about it the more I like the idea of splitting baron off into either ad/ap boost OR regen. It doesnt need both.

iunno, i just personally think the problem lies in the buff, not Baron itself.

im glad to see some interest - is there anyone in our subforum who has experience with video editing and would be willing to show me the ropes? or any help at all regarding that aspect :o i already have a good idea of what i want to go over, so if you want to see a basic overview or manuscript of that i'd be willing to show anyone who wants to see some commitment

would you guys be interested in this?
and does anybody know any good video making tutorials? For instance, for the first 1-2 videos i think i could probably get away without using any real video footage, but i would love to learn how to manipulate footage (like focus onto one champ in a teamfight with a black circle effect where everything but the target is in a slight shade of black) and compile it with audio and text commentary etc.
i have no video manipulation experience whatsoever but enough interest to try this out
Sounds like a good project, I'd watch

Tencent’s launch of Riot Game’s League of Legends in China was also a massive success, raking in over 11 million active players. The figures haven’t been counted up yet, but it’s expected that Riot are making more money from PC games than anyone else, including Activision Blizzard. Source
On a side note, I think there's interesting news from Riot soon. (Not necessarily related to above.)

I've never seen a top player that had a less positive effect on the game than TRM. :|

TOO doesnt give them a strong jungle presence, so they need TRM to carry EVERY SINGLE GAME. Thats asking a lot of someone day in and day out.
Look at CLG- Shen Udyr with HS and SV- one of them is always going to get big enough to be the tanky dps they need, often its both.
ATM TOO is a throwaway- he cant farm or gank his way to late game presence. So every game TSM has to rely on TRM, which is made worse by the fact that TRM is a headcase. His Yorick, Trynd, and Trundle are all good, but he never plays them.
So instead you end up with teams playing TSM knowing that all they need to do is devote the jungler's time to shutting down TRM and they win the game since TOO cant do anything. So it isnt one of TRM or TOO- its the fact that both of them are pretty pathetic atm.

So it isnt one of TRM or TOO- its the fact that both of them are pretty pathetic atm. I'd have to fault Regi at least partially for TOO's performance as of late. Regi has this mentality where he has to call ALL THE SHOTS for the team and no one is allowed to disagree with him, and he rages violently and anyone on his team that says he made a mistake.
I feel that Regi promotes this attitude where TOO is supposed to be his pocket jungler and be there for him on demand. As a result I've noticed in scrims that TOO progressively has been making less and less plays, to the point where he doesn't even make any decisions any more unless someone orders him. He times buffs and objectives sure, but when has he ever used that information to order the team to group up for something? He says stuff like "Blue's up in a minute" and it just seems like the entire team checks out and doesn't care.
The best he does is SUGGEST plays but I haven't seen him demand a play in a long time. Seriously I can't remember the last time I heard him say "We need to do dragon NOW, everyone go" in a scrim.

Now if they'd start finetuning their game so that it's more fun past the initial stage I'd love them to death. My gut tells me this won't happen though. =S

Hopefully TSM will pick themselves back up and start working hard again.

Honestly I feel TSM lacks alot of..discipline. I dunno maybe they can improve but I honestly feel the best thing for them isn't a roster change but an actual Coach to keep them in line. Like someone who can tell them how to practice how to study how they are playing and actually taking advantage of living together.
You really need someone to kind of hold the reigns together and keep them on track. We all saw what happened when TSM first moved in together. That's not something that should happen and I honestly don't think they've fully recovered and got themselves properly playing and actually improving.
That and getting rid of baylife mentality completely.

Regen would be enough IMO.
I like this discussion about Baron... I currently play LoL, but I actually follow competitive DotA instead of LoL because I find it to be much better. This discussion made me realize that Baron has a huge impact on LoL games... maybe too much of an impact.
One another thing that ticks me off in LoL competitive scene is the lack of viable strategies : the game feels kinda bland right now it's always 2 carries/3 support or 3 carries/2 support with at least 1 ranged AD carry sitting in bot lane. There's still a good variety of tactics therefore you don't really feel it in non competitive play, however in tourneys the games will always turn out to be the same.
There were plenty of strategies that came to life in the past, but they all got nerfed one after another. Imagine if there were still ''OP'' splitpushers (pre-nerf nid) ''OP'' push lineups/items (Gragas/locket and friends) ''OP'' super carries (4 support + 1 twitch) ''OP'' AoE comps (mumu and friends) the games would be more diverse.

Yeah I think the actual power curve of champions has steadily gone down since LoL was released, which has made it less fun for me.
