At least the old Jax built very differently from other in-your-face "bruisers" and his power curve was very distinct and interesting. You could get shut down easily, and it was generally a bit of a feat to actually get his cores on him without fucking up a lot in many laning scenarios. But now his distinctive features are pretty much gone. He's not even remotely close to what he was before the changes. There was nothing wrong with having a champ that is godly lategame but garbage past the immediate early game. These kind of things made Jax fun. Now we just have some boring champ that isn't exciting in any way. | ||

Stats: Attack speed gain per level increased to 3.5 from 2.9. Base armor increased to 15 from 12. Broken Wings: bonus attack damage ratio increased to 0.7 from 0.6. Ki Shout: cast time decreased to 0.25 from 0.5. Valor: Shield strength increased to 60/90/120/150/180 from 40/70/100/130/160. Cooldown decreased to 10/9/8/7/6 from 11/10/9/8/7. Wind Slash: Cast time decreased to 0.25 from 0.5. Missile speed increased to 2200 from 2000. Im not sure those are what I would refer to as overbuffed, or that without these changes she was garbage. Remember, she still had an absurd hp/5 before AND after the changes. The only meaningful change in the hotfix was a buff to her shield, which basically translated to 20 shield and a 1 second cd drop. I dont really think you can qualify any of those as overbuffing her. Riven was a clear case of no one knew how to play her, then Westrice figured her out. | ||

I dont think she's bad, just definitely weaker in teamfights than laning. for example wukong is a much stronger teamfighter. | ||
