We should not forget that Storm was/is a different calibre than XD and NeL. I am not too sure how mich weight I would put into those 2 wins. Nontheless good to see CLG going through (in a somewhat dominating fashion too)

There's a reason I bailed from the SC2 LR Threads a long time ago and made my home here. :3
I don't recognize any of the players, so I'm going to have to predict the same thing.
All the impressive Koreans thus far have been long time players who've made their name on the NA server. I'm still waiting for that no name Korean to break onto the stage at OGN.
The Other? He even beat Doublelift in minionkills and in all 3 games he played had over 200 minions at 20min botlane...

People might actually believe you if they didn't go 45/0 in bot games.

Or maybe RIOT is trying to lure you into a false sense of security... have you never noticed how the bots sometimes act extra stupid almost as if they are failing on purpose...

He is part of the vast conspiracy which involves TL staff governing all ESPORTS across the globe.
What are Loco's motivations for helping CLG so much? In a recent Vlog by doublelift they said Loco essentially coached them through the Korean team's strategies and helped fix some of their play. I get that Loco is friends with CLG even helping them set up in Korea, but part of me thinks he wants CLG do to well because they are a popular team and it's good for Korean Esports for them to get at least past the group stages.

That second part sounds like it's a bad thing. Some evil thing locodoco is planning. :D I think it's mostly because they are friends, but it's certainly good for esports if the 2 foreign teams do well. Also I think alot of foreigners would stop watching if both clg and natic went out early. Just guessing tho.

Loco saved OGN imho
without CLG the viewership will drop for like 20% for sure
I don't think Loco is using the foresight of what will/will not hurt OGN's viewership numbers imo. He's just being a good friend. In retrospect, had CLG failed to make it out of Group B, a large number of viewers would not tune to The Champions anymore. For me personally, if CLG didn't make it, I wouldn't try as hard to be awake at 4:30 PST to watch these games.
Loco, correct me if I'm wrong. If you are somehow a marketing whiz for Korean ESPORTS, color me impressed..
Edit: Also, to solidify the legitimacy of The Champions, they need a very strong Semifinals and Finals bracket. If MiG makes it to the Finals, they want to have faced the best. No champ wants to hear whispers of nonsense about how if so-and-so made it to the finals, it would have been different; but too bad they were knocked out early, etc.

I'm not sure how CLG should have lost vs XD and NeL, they're both vastly inferior teams (mostly due to being new) I mean they're a clear step down from teams who have an actual chance to win this season. Not saying shit can't go down especially in Bo1 situations, but you're making it sound way closer than it should have been when CLG had #1 or #2 locked up from the get-go. Xenics is an actual contender so sure they can definitely beat CLG if they don't play their best.
NeL didn't look that bad. They're on the level of a MYM, or Sypher-on-a-bad-day, or TSM-when-Regi-flips-his-shit-and-feeds-and-the-rest-does-idiotic-shit
Actually both teams that were knocked out looked relatively solid. Didn't feed too hard, didn't do really retarded stuff. You gotta keep in mind that they played CLG and Kong Team, who are definetly TOP top teams (Kong Team was not a fluke! I belieeeeeeeve!). And still they put up a good fight (TheOther outfarming everything, etc)

Just to re-emphasise something from the Xenics interview, they said that they sat down with several other top Korean players including the Startale team, dissected CLG's previous tournament games, and discussed how to create team comps and in-game strategies to beat CLG.
This is pretty typical of the Korean scene, as even in Brood War and SC2 players from different teams will discuss together the best ways to beat certain players. You have to realise, every match CLG will have isn't just playing against 5 Koreans. They're playing against 5 Koreans, and everyone else who sat down with them to plan how to beat CLG.

As I stated, anything can happen in Bo1 situations. In a Bo3 situation, even if CLG gets dissected hard by an inferior team and loses, they're flexible enough to switch gears and play quite different.
I'm laughing still at first ban instaban Nidalee still for HSGG. I wonder how long she'll be instabanned vs CLG for.

Its also a two way street, if I recall correctly Saint gave MiG a lot of advice when they were new. He straight up told their jungler what champs to practice. Having a team that you can count on, and that count on you, seems like a very valuable resource in LoL. Outside perspective is priceless.

Could just be bias because I love jiji and Chauster but imo CLG is by far the most adaptable NA team. They're one of the few teams that can successful switch their top and mid players around in lanes and (correct me if I'm wrong) were like the first pro team to run 1v2 lanes bottom with HSGG. They can adapt really fucking fast. I would probably go so far as to say that they adapt better than any team, not just NA ones. But definitely they adapt better than NA teams. Of course, them trying new shit and not just sticking with set strategies could be a factor as to why they derp up so often in tournaments...

fyi, Chauster helped MiG a lot too. Routinely filled in as a ringer for them in scrims (often crushing his lane as Malphite or Akali or some shit). He also helped Rapidstar when he used to be on their team with solo mid match ups (or is Rapidstar still on MiG??? I feel really behind on competitive LoL the last two months or so ).
